Bristol was great. A lower attendance than last time (about 300 I'd say) but they pulled a divider over so it seemed bigger. They made enough noise for twice the number of people, mind. Everyone looked extremely happy and they rocked - they were ridiculously tight and well drilled.

Setlist same as last night I think, minus The New Flesh, so only two new songs. Ginger made some comment about how new stuff doesn't go down well live generally...

Just got back from Bristol. Was slightly surreal to say the least, been going to the anson rooms since I was 13 ish (almost 25 now) and actually had tickets to see them there in '98 (?) but they pulled out last minute when the tour fell apart.

It was truely bizzare seeing them almost 10 years later in the same place and totally sober (had to drive :?).

The band are amazingly tight, the vocals in particular genuinely sounded really good throughout. Scott Sorry puts in sooooo much effort, really helps bring them alive as a band. Was odd they didn't play New flesh seeing as it's the next single...

Main downsides were the small crowd, just feel they deserve more really, it felt a bit too much like an intimate "fan-only" gig which would have been better suited to a smaller place. Also thought the sound was a bit iffy, too much bass and drums whenever it went heavy.

Also seemed a tad short to me :( Having missed both the supports (it's a bad habit) it felt like another 2/3 songs wouldn't go amiss.

Everlone sounded brilliant, tv tan was excellent, nexus icon is very good live (like the track a lot anyway), not sure bout rooting, sounded a bit too much like a wall of sound. Revolution was good tho, i wanna go is a brilliant closer. Was a good set generally :)

However, still a great live band, still really enjoyed it. Decent set-list (can't please everyone), just hope the new album gets em a few newer fans really :)

Enjoy the rest of the tour everyone.

Bristol was brilliant! Met scott afterwards, and waited for ginger/ritch/cj for quiet a while but they didn't turn up. and also aquired a half broken drum stick :D .

If Super Jake's what I think he looks like I think he walked past me once or twice...and if anyone heres part of a small group who walked through the double doors into the room, saw me, screamed and pointed...eh? or had I just pinched your place near a vent in the wall...
Yeah, missed G.U Medicine because Bristol has a bad habit of not naming its roads and Bristol venues giving strange directions on their websites...same thing with the last Ginger Acoustic there, but anyway...spent the time Sign were on in the bar, wasnt uch a fan of the singing style.
My first Wildhearts gig, loved it. I thought turn out was quite good, but maybe Im just used to the turn out of the last Bristol + Newport acoustic gigs...did seem slightly short, was hoping The New Flesh would make its way in but never mind. Rooting's great live though. Oh, and their tour bus looks quite nice from the outside too. Anyway, pictures, maybe Ill do what all the cool kids are doing and make a myspace blog with some more later...

That's a shame - as tour goes on more people will know the new stuff so should pick up a bit. disappointing if they don't play the new flesh cause it's definitely one of the best songs on new record.
And if its just because the new stuff aint going down too well, then stick another old one back in! 29x, caprice or Love U til i dont please

I was surprised when they didn't play The Sweetest Song at Southampton. I even thought they might open with it. Even more surprised they've dropped The New Flesh what we it being the next single and all. :?

When he supported Ginger in Wolverhampton last year he gave the audience a choice, Birdhouse In Your Soul or God Only Knows. The Beach Boys are ace but I love They Might Be Giants. Thought the fact I was wearing a TMBG shirt may have been serendipitous. He played God Only Knows.

My album hasn't shown up from Japan yet so record shop today. There's no way I'm not singing along to songs at a Wildhearts gig! Monday, Wolves, oh yes!

maybe its just cus the albums just come out an he thinks people wouldn`t have had enough time to get to know the songs, i wonder if he`ll throw some of the new songs in later in the tour. also if they`re not playing much off the new album this must surely signal another tour when the songs aren`t so "new" to people

I'd imagine you're right. I mean, he described "...Must Be Destroyed" as "the album nobody likes", yet played about half of it last night. It's an album I absolutely love so I was well happy.

Damian - Which one where you? There were only a few of us waiting around for scott by the doors, he's a legend.

Piedude - I was the one with a celtic frost t-shirt, and kinda scrappy dreads.

I would have said hello if i knew who you were, still trying to firgure out if it was better then wolves... I think wolves may have the edge because of the long setlist, but this time I was with 3 other friends at the front (at wolves they got pushed back).

I wasn't waiting around for long at the end, but I did see someone get handed a broken drumstick before we left. We were front centre - two women and three men - I had (and have) short blond hair with glasses and a bright red T-shirt...

I couldn't compare the Wolves gig to the Bristol one. Wolves was a Christmas party - Bristol was a party too but with added "we mean business..." - if that makes sense.
