Dear all,

I'm sorry to have to let you know that Trace passed away today.
She wanted the LiSTs to be told.
Taz and I will post arrangements as soon as I know them.

with love,
Trudi

Thanks for letting us know Trudi. I found out earlier but it would have been inappropriate for me to be the person to break it, given that she's one of the few well-known people in Ginger-related circles I haven't met at some point, although a few e-mails have been exchanged in times past.

Very sad indeed, and kind of hard to know what to add at this point - I hope her family, and indeed her many friends who have done unbelievable things for her this last few years, are doing OK. She was one of the people who helped engender this whole sense of community that there is here, and when I finally met a lot of you at the Scarborough shindig I regretted the fact that I hadn't done it before. I was kind of wary of the whole 'meeting people you only know over the net' thing and shouldn't have been. Rest in peace.

This is so very sad.

Without wanting to sound like a cliche, she was truely one of a kind and she will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

My thoughts are with her family.

R.I.P. Trace.

Very, very sad news.

Unfortunately I never got to meet Trace, I only knew her through the LiST, but her strength and humour in even the darkest times is a lesson for us all.

And lets face it, I'm never gonna forget the only woman in the world who could actually type in a Geordie accent.

We'll miss you Trace, the cloakroom's gonna be alot quieter without you.

Really, really sorry to hear this, although I'd seen Trace a few times at various WH's gigs, I only really met her properly the once, when I went to her house to drop off a mobile phone that I was lending to a mutual friend and that she was going to hand deliver for me.

Was only supposed to stay five minutes and ended up staying about an hour as we compared notes on various items of Electric Boys merchandise that we'd managed to accquire.

She was lovely and she'll be sorely missed, my condolences to her family and friends.

RIP.

Heartfelt condolences to all of Trace's family and friends.

Let's not forget how heroically and bravely she fought, she was truly a one off, who I unfortunately only had the pleasure of meeting once.

Can we all please help Trudi and Taz keep her memory alive by keeping madasbadgers contributing to finding a cure someday.

Sleep well Trace, you fought it well

R.I.P with love
