Cameras @ legends, Newcastle

Anyone know what the policy towards cameras is in the above venue??

Had loads of pics from Ginger's acoustic gig at the Archer in 2004, but lost them all when my computer went tits up, so I could do with some new ones.

Cheers!!!

Everyone seems to be using camera phones these days without any hassle from venues.

I doubt there would be any problem taking fotos as long as it wasn't a big professional camera with all them big fuck off lenses. Saying that, I wouldn't want you to get yer camera confiscated.

Just take your camera. If the "security" say anything we'll kick the shite out of them. I doubt ginger would object.

I always shove mine down the back of my trousers, (no sniggers please :op) and haven't had any problems yet. Once it's in the security guards don't seem to pay you any attention. Been into just about all the main venues in london without any problems (other than the other half sulking that i'm blocking his view :op)

I don't think i'll get my SLR and 300mm lens down my trousers
I've got it into venues before with doormen and staff looking dumbstruck at the question 'can I take a camera in?' but I think the Carling venues are pretty strict on that sorta stuff.

Yes you may

Since I am running the Newcastle show I will allow cameras  provided they are not professional models..

bring your SMALL digi or your disposables but NO telescopic lenses...for one thing you wont need them as the stage ain't that far away and for another they are a hazard to others and can give a nasty bump to the head of the person standing in front of you.

Just remember to send any great shots you get to the site with your name for the credit! And any ways...When I looked off the stage at The Garage it was a sea of mobile phones I could see before me. ha ha ha

Any professional photographers are welcome to apply for a photo pass by sending an email to me at sammy@gingerandthesoniccircus.com other than that please stick to what I have said above to avoid disappointment on the night.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH and... Ginger will be doing a guest slot as DJ at the Rock club night after! Why not start a thread and suggested songs he should play? Obviously he wont play all of them but I will happily ask him to play a few of everyones favorites. What ya recon???

See you all there!!

Sammy,

Thanks for that m'dear, i'll ensure the best pics I take get sent to you.

Any idea how ticket sales are going for this gig??????

Some Crue, Rancid, or Rocket From The Crypt would do me as requests.

Steve.

A man after my own heart, although I reckon I could get my 350d body and a lens
into my (admittedly voluminous) combat pants.
