Did everyone get it:
Hi,

Quite a bit of news from Ginger to report following the successful completion of the UK tour. Ginger has been in the studio from July 17th recording his new solo album (not to be confused with the next Ginger and the Sonic Circus album).

Says Ginger: "The album I'm recording is my new solo album. I don't want to reveal the title yet, just in case I change my mind. It will feature new drummer Denzel Pearson on drums, and Jon Poole (who else?) on Bass. Jase Edwards will be involved in production / engineering / recording as well as playing guitar. Tim Smith will be producing. Watch this space for more details on this, and the forthcoming Howling Willie Cunt album, 'World Of Filth'."

Ginger and the Sonic Circus hope to record a separate album this year, and Ginger has also mentioned the possibility of the Wildhearts starting work on a new record before the year is out.

For anyone who was hoping to catch Ginger and the Sonic Circus at the Gosforth Gathering, this event has unfortunately been cancelled - please see: http://www.gosforthgathering.com/ for further details, including ticket refund information.

There is a Wildhearts live album 'Geordie In Wonderland' being released 24th July, recorded at the Scarborough 'Rock In
The Castle' Festival, which will be available from various online retailers including

Nope, me neither. Are we to conclude from the above email that VdC was in fact the debut GATSC album? I think the quote goes something like "not to be confused with the next GATSC record".

I thought that VdC was a Ginger solo release that morphed live into GATSC. So we can look forward to:

HWC - World of Filth
Ginger - TBA
GATSC - TBA
and:
the Wildhearts (possibly)

Pretty impressive going.

Cheers, Keith.

Howling Willy has a long way to go in the 'shock' stakes to beat this one:

I got the email, sonds like we're gona be spoiled rotten later in the year.

Just hope the quality isn't diluted by the sheer output, obviously Ginger has songs and songs and songs, but it has to be incredibly difficult to fill 3 albums (if we are to believe that The Wildhearts album is already written)

I think you're reading too much into it. I used the word next, as I thought first would be *way* too confusing. I was mainly trying to make the point that there will be a Ginger album and a GatSC album and they're liable to be very different stylistically.

Cheers

Ginger has done that before tho. Remember, the Silver Ginger 5 album was meant to be Ginger's solo album until SG5 kind of morphed into a fully fledged band. In fact, SG5 and G&TSC are pretty much the same band, if you define them appropriately:

SG5 = Ginger + Random Jon Pool + Conny Bloom + Other musicians in a band that plays Sonic Shake + some some other songs
G&TSC = Ginger + Random Jon Pool + Conny Bloom + Other musicians in a band that plays Sonic Shake + some some other songs

therefore G&TSC = SG5

Now what was it you said about reading too much into this? ;-)

The sonic circus is exactly what i ALWAYS wanted SG5 to be, however, SG5 was more glammed up rock n roll where as GATSC are much more wideranging stylistically, if yas get me, but yeah Luis being in SG5 would RULE :P

Id probably wet myself
For all that pass that they may see, Rock n Roll was a part of me......
