last nites dudley gig

Postby nig1012 » 8th Jun 06, 15:41

yeah great gig last nite pretty much the same set list as the tour with "geordie in wonderland" thrown in.the band sounded great as expected but the vocals were a bit quiet which made it difficult 2 pick up some of gingers comments like the usual intro 2 "sonic shake" where he goes on about connie sleeping with 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 girls etc, he made a comment about sammy andrews and money going missing eg £100, £200, £500, £1000. another point he kept bringing up (or gloating about) woz the fact GATSC were playing above BACKYARD BABIES (has there been a falling out maybe from the time the BABIES pulled out of the tour with the WILDIES) also ging has had his lip pierced on the side (a la tom delonge, blink 182) and his nose done again which looks cool but woz quite a surprise. i woz also going 2 ask who the FRANKENSTEIN looking character woz that joined the band on stage 4 a bit of guitar soloing but apparently he`s out of HANOI ROCKS (is this true) last but not least congratulations 2 WILDDAN who asked 4 his girlfriends hand in marriage live on stage. 1 last bit of advice 2 everyone is take your camera EVERYWHERE i told the mrs connie wasn`t playing so she left the camara in the car and who should walk on stage, lets just say she wasn`t best pleased.

Nice one cheers.

Interesting about Sammy, not what I had been guessing.

I often wonder about taking the camera, but would probably spend all nite taking fotos rather than watching.

Ginger may have said what he said, but (saying this entirely from a personal perspective, nothing else) - this probably isn't the place to speculate about things that may have legal ramifications etc.

And many thanks for the congratulations!

I'd just like to add my congratulations to WildDan and Hannah - it must take big bollocks to ask that in front of a room full of people!

Last night was a fantastic gig, even if it was a late one by the time I got home - now very tired here at work, and I have Sheffield to do tonight as well!

Ginger was sporting a new guitar as well, styled on an NYC taxi...very fetching. I'd have taken some pictures but I left my camera in my car in Leicester when I realised that it decided to dump all of it's oil out onto the road :( However, I'll try and remember it tonight!

Fantastic night. The Mrs (first non-arena gig) was right at the front, by the backing singers, and she had a ball.
The guy from Hanoi Rocks was Andy McCoy - was it me or was he a little scary ? and had the skinniest legs ever ?
Who was the blonde guy who was over by Luis at the end ? Hanoi's drummer I'm guessing ?

Yes, yes, big congrats to you both and best wishes for the future.

Gig wasn't bad either. shame there was no Man Who Cheated... or Blub, mind. :(

Thanks loads to everyone's messages of congrats!!!
I doubt Ginger and co. will be playing at the wedding though lol
I think I used up all my favours on that one alone! lol
( Worth every second though and I got the girl in the end, so all's well that ends well )

P.S.

We got it filmed too, and its up on youtube if you want to check it out.
