That's the good news. Along with Eureka Machines playing on the Saturday.

The bad news... well, normally I let it go if I don't like a band, life's too short, too many good bands that time is better spent concentrating on etc. BUT my least favourite band of all time, ever, ever... Toploader have reformed and play the main stage on the Saturday.

Just saw that. I turn 30 on the 7 July, seeing Ginger and Motorhead just after my 30th could be a winning move!!

Ginger seems to be really upping his game with regards to the solo stuff - I wonder if this slot was specifically offered to him, or it was offered as a Wildhearts slot? Not that it matters, just curious. Fair play to him - the solo tour was flipping excellent! :D

Where is Birmingham Asylum? It's a new one on me. Is it a decent venue?

It's a couple of minutes up the road from where Musical Exchanges used to be (Lionel Street - useful for parking) :-

Percy said he saw S&TS there and it's a good venue.

That's it, blame me! lol

It's run by the same people that own the Madhouse studios next door. The Asylum is a reasonable size from what I remember.

The owners really are a nice couple though. We went to see Jackdaw4 at The Madhouse last year, and I was chatting to the owner and then promptly got whisked off on a tour of the studio where she was showing me where The Wildhearts rehearse and stuff! They're massive Wildhearts fans, so it should be a fun night.

Hi burgerrock,

I can make another poster + banner like the solo tour ones if it's needed. Are the Asylum not promoting it themselves though?

Did you want a poster for printing out or just a web size image?

Worth getting clarification on the details - according to the Guilfest site, Sorry and the Sinatras are no longer playing Guilfest (they've been replaced by a band called Failsafe). I also note that Ginger appears to have leapfrogged The Stranglers on the main stage and is now the last act playing before Motorhead.

And he might have had something to do with a certain other act that has been added to the Friday Main Stage lineup too... :D

If it weren't for the Sorry and the Sinatras / Eureka Machines gig there last year, I wouldn't even know the venue existed to be honest, and I live within a 30 minute walk of it! So the chances of them making anyone other than their regulars aware of who's playing is pretty slim. It's strange, it's a good venue and I would have thought they could get a lot of better known bands on if they wanted, I guess they lose out to the bigger chains in town...academy and barfly.

I've just noticed a Facebook event page for this gig...
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=101594915344
It lists Tragedy and Vix and the Kix as support at the moment.
