I really shouldnt point out the obvious or plug my own crap but on Muscle Car's myspace page there is a song called "The Best Part Of You (Was Me)" and is pretty much a rip-off of Suckerpunch... I think it's more of a celebration of the awesome of the WH. It doesn't stand up to Suckerpunch but hey, i tried.

Sounds like a bit of an "Ace of Spades" vibe going on there as well Damo.

It's funny you say that cos I remember ages ago Ginger saying that Ace Of Spades was an influence on the song Suckerpunch. Ha! How very twilight zone. But yeah, I do tend to borrow a lot from Motorhead... but don't we all? I mean, you do steal from the very best, right?

Sounds like something offa Coupled With
LTD perhaps?

Actually, after listening, probably more like OCD at around 3.16 (of OCD)

Check it out here:

(idea copied from Col, not executed as well but it should be there to play)

It's almost identical!

My wife always sings 'on a rope on a rope got me hangin' on a rope' whenever she hears 'girlfriends clothes' and vice versa just to get a rise out of me and of course it works. Not sure RFTC were first or not....

I think they're both 'paying homage' to Kix!

Just to stand up for JAMC here.. but Snakedriver is an old song. Think it was released in 1994? Was on the soundtrack for The Crow, anyway.

They're ace, and everyone should listen to them. (Including Mr. Fluffygrue, but he may take some persuading. :( )

- The Black Crowes riff is a dead ringer for the Wildhearts.

- Thanks for letting me relive that whole saga with the "Let Me Down" song. Too funny. I still have that one saved on my PC somewhere.

- Lake Of Piss' riff sounds just like a Kix song. Can't remember which one off the top of my head. Nuno could definitely tell us.

- Check Out Cheap Trick's "Weekend Girl" and let me know what you think.

(I think it's called "Weekend Girl".... hopefully I'm right on that. I do know that there was something Wildhearts-esque in there)

listen to the intro of the Suzy & Los Quattros track 'Crazy On The Phone'
The rest of it isn't a rip-off (I like the track though so put a minute of it up)
