Just wanting to back up what a lot of people have said: I love Market Harbour - it's a great album (not to take away from Yoni and Valor, of course).

Was MH a conscious change of direction for you, and will your next solo album be of a similar style? Whilst I love all the big rock numbers that you can seemingly write in your sleep, something like MH is much more challenging for the listener and I wonder if it was more rewarding for you for that reason?...and was it any easier/difficult to write?

The Perilous Burden of Prodigal Obligation has got *the* most amazing chorus (as well as a peculiar title). More please!

Hey Ginger,

Looking forward to the Glasgow show, Ivory Blacks a new venue for you I believe. I was just thinking to myself that in all your years of touring you have never played King Tuts's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow (correct me if I'm wrong) but I was just wondering why is that? Do you have any say in what venues you play or is it just down to wherever the promoters can book you to play?

I'd love to see you play in Tuts, its a great venue, with a great history (ps no I dont work there!!) and I reckon would suit the solo tours extremely well, anyway there's always next time...........there will be a next time won't there?

Cheers

Market Harbour was something I'd wanted to do for a long time, I just didn't quite know how to go about it. The timing was right to attempt it when I did and I'm very happy with the results. The next solo thing is the same deal, something I've wanted to try for a very long time. Can't say much more than that for now, I'm afraid.

King Tut's? I dunno. Maybe they just don't pay as much as the other venues? I guess you'd have to take that up with my agent!

Ginger, is it sad that at my wedding in December me and the missus will have Beautiful Thing You as the song for our 'first dance'?

Thank you G, I take that as your blessing to use copyrighted music at a public gathering (well, wedding reception). By the way, the wedding is in North Shields, where the missus is from so it will be a very Geordie affair indeed. Im a smoggy for the record.

A couple of questions Ginger.

Supershit666 album, the track "fast one". Who's idea was it for the motorhead (overkill) bit at the end and did you need any kind of permission to do it that way?

On Randoms track "LTD" there's a bit of a tune 2 mins (or so) in that lasts for about 10 seconds. Any idea what it is borrowed off, been buggin me for ages.

Or have I just imagined both of the above?

You're going to do a "Yeah Yeah Yeahs" and go techno?

I'm possibly in a minority on here when I say, in all seriousness, I reckon that could be really cool. Although guitars are fine too, like.

Re: Fast One. I dunno really, it just worked out like that. We had so little time to write and record that no ideas were deemed bad ones, especially copying Motorhead. That was such a fun record to make.

Re: LTD: Man, it's been so long since I last heard that song. I don't even own it.

Re: Going electronic. If I had my way we'd be a LOT more electronic but the guys always want guitars, guitars and guitars, so hopefully we'll reach a healthy compromise on the next album.

Thanks for the Mercury Lounge and Bowery shows, do we NYCers have more Wildhearts (or solo or anything for that matter) shows to look forward to now it's hometown?

D'you mean the bit just after the scream with the run up that sounds like In The Street (The theme to That 70's Show)?

Nope, I'll upload it today.
While I'm on, there's another one on coupled with that's taken directly from "won't get fooled again" by The Who
