It also translates as courage.

Nicked from theWH.com:-
Ginger wrote:The solo album ('Valor Del Corazon'... and can I just get one thing out of the way? I have Spanish and Mexican friends and I obviously asked them for the correct way of translating that title literally. They all told me that the proper way to say it is Valor DE Corazon. Thing is, I woke up one morning with the title right in my face, and while I know it isn't text book Spanish, I was getting tons of spiritual information, divine support and genuine paranormal weirdness around me. So much so that I took it for granted that this was completely natural within the whole 'fixing yourself' process. Anyway, I wasn't going to argue with an album title given to me from sources beyond my surroundings. So, as illiterate as it may read to my Spanish speaking fans I stuck with it!

Essentially it does mean what you've always been told it means. It's just not a direct translation or strictly grammatically correct. :?

Stick 'courage of heart' into this box:

I guess it just depends on how many Spanish speakers you come into contact with and how often you want to explain a) why there's a Del where the De should be, or b) what it means to everybody else? Not to put you off or anything...

Strength of heart is also a pretty way of describing courage

I can answer this question. It's American Spanish. "Del" is the feminine version of "de"; romantic languages assign genders to words. Ean, I once sent you a short list of American Spanish "del"s; do you still have it? It'd be easier than digging them up again for those wanting examples. Also, you're right about not having a direct translation. For the several words it could represent, it's the "strength" translation Ginger was going for as he said in his post, a definition close to the "courage" one. Look at the context. His life was the shittiest it'd ever been, and it was the strength within him that pulled him through. It wasn't about bravery to survive; it was strength. Hope this helps.

Do not drink alcohol before you get tattoo done. Try and relax and have some chewing gum. Works for me.

it does not hurt, ive had tattoos (mainly wildhearts/ginger related) down my arms, its like getting a pin and lightly dragging it across your arm, sounds bad but, once you get it done you will be like "is that it"

good luck

I'll be honest i fainted during my first tat , my smileybones. I was 16 at the time though lol. But nah they don't really hurt , they do get addictive though. If only I had the money , i'd get inked everyday.

Very nice choice though mate , i've been thinking about getting the same thing done many times. :)

The best thing I've found and so have a few friends is to have a really greasy meal before and loads of sugary drinks, it helps with the pain and the shakes you can get after. KFC works a treat. Just try and zone out when they're doing it or chat as much as possible. It got me through a two and a half session of sitting in a really crappy position.
