Hi Ean, i'm not familiar with Arcade Fire. I tried looking up Keep The Car Running and AF was the only one I could find.

Yep, me too. I hoped you knew as you'd named the song. :)

This one?

Thanks for the link (btw the clip strangely goes on for 2.5 minutes after the song ends)! In the related vids there is one with Bruce Springsteen playing that song with two AF members, which definitely makes a lot of sense to me.

I knew the name of the song because I was able to get a glimpse of the set list. I'm almost positive that's the song though. Of course it was "beefed" up and there was a smokin' solo in there from Scott.
The Fergie cover was good too. Wonder what we'll hear this week....

I didn't listen to more than about the first ten seconds of it - I just checked it was the album version when I found it then bunged it up here. :?

Wow! For a song that's been out barely 12 months it's been covered by Foo Fighters (several times), Springsteen and now Ginger.

Would love to hear Ginger do Wake Up.

Can anyone who was at last thursday's show tell me how long the show lasted? I have someone who needs to know if he'll make it on time.

Thanks!

ginger came on stage around 10.30pm, ans was probably on stage for around 90 minutes (though to be honest i don't remember what time it finished).

i think ginger's set is due to start at 10pm this thursday, but it's probably worth double checking on the Rocks Off website: http://www.rocksoff.com/events/index.htm.

and ginger doing 'wake up' would be quite special.

Buy both of their albums, then thank me. One of the best bands currently going. And unbelievable live.

Last Night

Postby Evrlone » 11th Apr 08, 22:03

Hi all, the setlist is below if anyone wants to know it. It was a shorter show than last week, but, all in all, better. Ginger was in good spitits and really talkative. The crowd was a little more into it also. Still not much of a crowd though. It's a crime, there couldn't of been more than thirty people there.
They played everything there except "Overeasy". "Oh, Bonita!" was great with an extended jam and a keyboard solo on the end. Good to see Clam Abuse and Howling Willie making an appearance too. Rich

NEXT WEEK

"Yo Bros 'n Does,

I just want to thank you for coming to see me this last couple of weeks at Pianos, and to remind you that the next hootenanny (17th) will feature Scott Sorry on guitar, Chris Catalyst on bass and Pete Munro on drums.

It's gonna be a punk flavoured shit kicker that I feel confident to predict that you are not going to want to miss.

There will also be extra aural wonderment and sonic shenanigans provided by Kitty And The Kowalskis, GSX and Sorry & The Sinatras (Scott Sorry's awesome new band), so make sure to get down early.

Hang out in East Village and inhale the air of inherent cool while absorbing the gaseous mulch of va va voom.

It's the only place to be on a Thursday.

That is, of course, a lie, but a pretty one and therefore doesn't count as a black-mark type lie which results anal-entry use of pineapples in purgatory.

And be prepared to stay late, it's gonna be THAT kind of evening.

What kind of evening?

THAT kind of evening.

Gx"
