Bloody eBay!

Anthem: The Single Tracks

I love The Wildhearts to bits, but I'll be buggered if I'm paying that much just so I can get Lost Highway and He's A Whore on my Ipod.

Gah!

What's the most someone's paid for a Wildhearts CD then?

Oh and hello to all!

Well definitely don't buy it from Espirit then!

Import it from a Japanese Seller instead. They're fast and reliable in my experience (and cheaper at the moment seeing as they all use Dollars and the exchange rate is more than favourable) - set the eBay search for Worldwide to see more stuff.

Oh, and welcome. :D

 :?

Sorry to hear your bad experiences at Esprit UK.
I don't know about UK Esprit so much, but I have ever heard that Japanese buyer from Esprit really loves The Wildhearts and always ship the "best quality - means mint item only" Japanese WH rarities to UK office.....

So I think there are 2 choices :

1) "Time is money" thinking - I recommend you to choice "buy it now" items like Esprit one if you don't want to spend 7 -10days just for buying this items for nearly half price (if you would be a lucky winner).
And Jap monkey ebay sellers are not always very kind - they always try "auctioning" and they would love to earn as much as they can (more than Esprit price if it's poss).
I personally think this Esprit seller should offer their items for much cheaper on ebay as long as they named themselves as "Esprit Outlet" there.

2) Keep checking ebay for the cheapest items if you don't really mind the condition, the lack of Obi strip and wasted time etc.

Happy bidding - I have also ever bought a lot of WH items from Esprit UK for their "regular(bloody?) prices". Everyone is learning to be a much better buyer from their "experience"..... :)

Quality has never been an issue with Espirit, it's always been price. In the days before t'internet when there were only a few decent mail order rarities dealers, they could get away with charging the earth for decent rare stuff.

Since the explosion of online trading, ebay especially, has generally driven prices down, I'm quite surprised that they can actually stay in business charging what they do.

Anyone else spot the glaring error in the above post??

First person to spot it gets a packet of garibaldis and a pandapop of their choice.

Yeah, he, like, totally forgot to start 'someone' with a capital 'S'...

BTW. What's a 'Pandpop'? :P

Well, apart from the classic 'Caffeine' misspelling, EMMO also seems to have a rare misprint of the 'If Life Is Like A Love Bank' single.
