Mark E, She does love a sing along, and as I've got VDC in the car at the moment it was funny driving home tonight, I turned the CD down to answer a call (handsfree - of course!) and when the call had finished she shouted, "Mum, will you turn it back up please!"

I think encouraging an interest in all music is healthy for a child. She's aware of Pop Princesses, and their music might not contain explicit lyrics, but Britney bleedin Spears isn't much of a role model now is she??
My daughters' had a half size guitar since she was 2, and her strumming is excellent.... my husband now thinks it's a good idea to get her a drum kit...mmmmmmmm
