my biggest disapointment is all these dates without the full on electric show ---hes got 2/3rds of the band touring ---its so frustrating ---but then i might be alone in disliking acoustic gigs ----although i do know im not alone in saying the full on band are a special show ----ah well ill save my money----maybe we`ll get a proper tour later

ARSE!!! BOLLOCKS!!! TWAT!!!

They've only gone and announced a Leeds date now! Flipping heck! I'm not going to Manc when I could stick around my 'hood...

Anyone want to make me an offer on a Music Box ticket please?
It's better to regret something you have done than something you haven't done.

I'm kinda in two minds about this tour as well. I'll get shot down in flames, but his electric gigs are just better. On the acoustic gigs Gingers tends to think he's a stand up comedian, and whilst he can indeed make funny observations and does have a great dry wit, I'd personally rather hear the songs performed with the odd piece of witty banter (which is actually funnier). He should save acoustic tours for one-off specials.

Don't get me wrong some of the acoustic gigs have been tremendously entertaining and funny... it's just hearing people pissing about should be kept to the rehearsal rooms or soundcheck. Ginger has Clam Abuse, SG5, $$666, and will have 3 solo albums (even excluding the WH) of material I would rather hear electrically or even acoustically without the pissing around.

Having said all that... I'm still going to Glasgow :!:

ya wont get shot down by me vanrad----the thing is theres only one member of his band not doing the tour and thats denzel----ive seen the kid play once with ginger and i would love to see him again---hes absolutely ace(thats from an ex-drummer)-----now i know that the electric show means touring with more equipment but im certain the full on version would promote the new album so much better(maybe im biased cos i dont like acoustic!!!)

Agree Vanrad & Shadow, not too keen on acoustic myself, would love to hear Market Harbour live with full band, acoustic just isnt the same.

I think we should start a thread, Should Market Harbour be ACOUSTIC OR ELECTRIC

NO DENZELl!!!!!! Im dissappointed, I was really looking forward to this tour with a full band, Cant see the point of doing all those dates promoting an album acoustically,

Oh ye of little faith, tatty heid has never been one to do things the orthodox way round but I can't really think of one moment where he's really let us down, fair enough he's said he's gonna be working on another silver ginger album but that got put on the back burner cuz the Wildhearts reformed then they disappeared again and he brought out Valor and toured with a full band for it but as someone said on here before (i think it was Ean, or Eeny Beeny Bumpkin Boy as Ive been known to refer to him) that the Sonic Circus is pretty much the latter day Silver Ginger or something to that extent so even if plans change he's still releasing stuff for us to get into and touring said cds, christ even Clam Abuse got a tour in. Yeah each cd maybe be slightly different to the last one but thats what songwriters and performers do, they mature from cd to cd I cant think of any band other than the Ramones that could get away with releasing pretty much the same cd over and over again. I'm not saying all but a fair few of you lot on this 'ere board would be the first to have a moan if he did that, christ look at the number of messages saying the re-release of Yoni is pointless, he's literally releasing the same cd, would you really want Ginger at the age he is now to be writing stuff like Greetings from Shitsville again as good as it was/is? Market Harbour will be different all you need to do is listend to the single from it and That What I want on the WHo Is Jazzy page. so a different cd with different sound is gonna be toured with a different type of show.

The acoustic shows are never a let down, I've been to loads of the buggers (somehow ended up selling the Great White Monkey cds at one show for him, not sure how he managed to rope me into that one) and I cant think of one thats ot been value for money, so what if he/they piss about like school kids when the teachers not in the room, so what if one his jokes falls flat the next one will hit you right in the funny spot (and im not talking about the one that y'mother keeps telling you to stop scratching as it'll only get worse and spread), the acoustic shows are supposed to be differet to the normal full band shows and thats exactly what they are, it gives them a chance to play stuff that wouldnt normally fit in with a full band that needs strict rehearsals not to sound to slopp cuz then we'd all start moaning again (need I bring up the Mcormack incidents on the reformation tour), who remembers the Bum My Arse song, which type of show would that have fit in with? WIldhearts? SG5? Sonic Circus? exactly non of them but the acoustic shows are relaxed and easy going therefor there's more room to have a giggle, Grievous Acoustic Behavour, how can you knock that gig, when it came out everyone was raving about it and THAT WAS AN ACOUSTIC SHOW, Not long ago people were asking for more acoustic shows and now he's giving them to us you're all moaning saying you want a full band show, you cant have everything people just be greatful he's still touring and releasing stuff.

Public service announcement over abnormal service has been resumed.

Christ that was a long post for me wasnt' it, im really gonna have to make plenty of sarcastic comments now to even it out.

I'm not party to all the facts but i fear denzel may never play with Ginger again.

Do the god damn whores have a different bass player now or is it still ginger?

I am very grateful he's doing a tour, I just want to express that he'd be better off doing a tour promoted as 'Ginger' forget the acoustic bit! Maybe we should start a poll, and see what everyone else thinks!
I also wanna hear tunes not chitter-chatter!
