I wish this was planned better. I could have stayed for the third show. Now, when will I ever get this chance again?

Maybe it wasn't planned and more of a spur of the moment thing? I'm sure he'll play another one.

But you see, I don't live in NYC. The cost of a concert is peanuts, but the cost of a trip to NYC and back is $1000. If I'd have known there was going to be another show in a week I could have planned to spend a week in NYC.... well, to be honest, I'd have probably found a cheap New Jersey airport hotel, but the point is that two trips to new york cost a hell of a lot more than one!

based on this setlist, I bet this was just as fun as the Wildhearts shows. Man, am I jealous of those 31 people.

Some of us didn't get to go to any of the shows, so you're already pretty damned lucky, dont you think?

then some people didn't spend $2000, so in that regard, they could be considered the lucky ones! :?

I'm just saying I'd have gotten a lot better value had this been planned more efficiently.

I'm completely stunned.....you're mad because not only did you see two out of three shows but that you spent 2000 bucks? I'm sorry, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you but Ginger hardly walked up to you and took that money out of your pocket. What was he supposed to do? Turn down a show in order to not upset the people who left NYC? Not everyone gets to see every show, to expect Ginger to plan every show so everyone gets to see every one is not only unrealistic, it's spoiled. Be grateful for the opportunity given and leave it at that.

I'm sure there's someone else who would back me up on this.

I would... but... it's not as if it's real money, is it? $2000? That's only about £56 by my reckoning.

I know you're not trying to pick a fight, but boy, are you ever missing the point. I was just being facetious when I said those who didn't spend the money are the lucky ones. All I was trying to get across was that the Wildhearts didn't exactly parachute into my backyard with their instruments and rock my neighbourhood. I paid a lot and I got what I paid for... lucky isn't the best word for that.

Being in Canada, I'm sure you can appreciate that I don't get chances to see Ginger or The Wildhearts very often. I was already back home when news of this gig came out. I can't exactly afford to just get up and go back to New York, not to mention get the time off work on the spot, but I could have planned this all in advance, IF this was all known in advance. It wasn't, and it was clearly booked very hastily or Ginger would have said something about it the week before. I'm a greedy bastard, so sue me. I want to see the as much Ginger as possible.

Well hon, I'm in nebraska and haven't seen the wildhearts since '04. I have two kids in school and a job with lots of hours and little pay, I'm not sure if I'll ever see them again, but I'm so damned grateful for having that band in my life that it's hard to put my emotions into words over them, their music changed my life and if I never see them again, I still have that one beautiful summer where I saw them three times in two weeks. If I hadn't made it to the third show I'd still have the first two and it would still mean everything to me. I'm just trying to make to see how lucky you are. Look at the good side of it, keep positive, and he'll be back around again!

I'm really sorry.....again I'm not trying to pick at you.....but when I'm sitting deep in the midwest while all my friends are sailing on a boat around NY listening to the wildhearts I just dont want to hear anyone complain that they didnt get enough. I'll leave you alone about it now.
