In fairness this has been quite a comprehensive tour so if he was referring to another wildhearts tour then I guess they have to be careful not to saturate

Cheers,

VP.

Leeds finished later than that - I think about 10.40/10.50, although the doors were about half an hour late opening so that could account for the differnce in timing - the sound guys and techs were all pretty slick in between bands it has to be said.

On this note did anyone experience any difficulties with timings and so forth on the October Ginger tour? The Glasgow gig, doors opened about 45 mins late, there was a good half hour between bands...

That gig causing me to have to spend £80 on a taxi after public transport had finished is the reason I'm being so anal about times and so forth.

On a happier note, I'm stupidly excited that I've got a couple of Wildhearts gigs in a matter of days.

Hope everyone's enjoying themselves!

The Sheffield gig was awesome! I wish they'd played more songs from the new album, but the ones they did play were awesome. And hurrah I got a setlist! (very dirty from being trodden on by Scott all evening).

The lead singer of Sign scared me though... looked to me like he has a nasty shaving rash on his belly. :?

The Wildhearts were fantastic, but the set wasn't long enough.
Sign were interesting, but the kiss was too much.
GU Medicne were just shite, sorry.

Great night out though, only hindered by bad navigation by my sister, cheers Wendyella, and a damn sore back. My eras are still ringing.

Is it bad form to wear ear plugs in Blackppol? I fear for my hearing.

Agree that it would have been nice if it was longer but seeing as it was the first time I've been to see em it was perfectly fine for me. Could sing along all the way through because it was loud enough for nobody else to be able to hear my terrible voice.

I thought the exact opposite of G.U. Medicine and bought their albums and a shirt.
On impulse and an adrenaline rush I also bought the Sign album, even though I didn't particularly think they were anything to shout about, the crowd in general seemed to like them.

I'm cancelling out the ringing in my ears by playing the older GU Medicine album over it :D

bugger me, last night was really cool!
walked in about halfway through GU medicine and thought they were alright, eventhough I couldn't really hear the vocals...
Then Sign (yeah the kiss was weird...) and i thought they were pretty cool, especially when the singer fell over...

then the wildhearts came on! stood at the barrier directly in front of good ol' CJ and it was pretty relentless all the way through! i'm a cripple today and going back to bed!
and just last week as i was clearing shit from off my shelf...

Great set from the boys last night! Didn't stop to let anyone catch their breath from the start to the encore (have they been doing that at every date?). Probably the least I've ever heard Ginger speak at a gig but he looked happy enough. Scott was bouncing around like a loon (someone better tether him quick or he may take off!). Rich was awesome (great facial expressions!). CJ is always the definition of cool. No surprises in the set list but it was all very slickly played.

As for the supports, missed about half of GU Medicine. Sounded OK if a little un-inspired. Sign I thought were a bit comical, especially when the singer fell over during the 1st song taking out his guitar rig. Not really my cup of tea though.

Oh, and nice to meet Michael Wade!

Fantastic gig, even if it was way too short.

Luckily me and Michael Wade went backstage and hung out with Scott and CJ for a little while. But like a stupid fuck I forgot to take any pics. Did however manage to get a Rock City stagetimes sheet signed by them both.

I'll post some pics and video of the gig later.
