Yoni Tour

Is it forthcoming? Did I blink and miss it? Is the new Wildhearts album going to mean there isn't one (I certainly hope not!)?

Yup you missed it. Not that it was really a Yoni tour, more like a tour with some yoni songs.

I missed it aswell as they didn't come near North East.

yoni tour

i too would relish a yoni tour----it seems such a waste to release an album and not tour it extensively ---musicianship on the album is great---would love to see them perform it live

What struck me about the setlist was that it largely seemed like a compilation of Ginger's most power-pop/post-punk (try saying that after a few!) moments from across his various projects, which fit pretty well with them performing as the whores too. The Nottingham gig was a great night out.

The more bands tour, the less we get records, so I'm not complaining too much...

Out of nosyness, what was the setlist like? Hopefully not too much from SG5, as I'll then have to kick myself lots for being on holiday when he played..

Off the top of my head, in London they played, in a slightly different order:
Black Windows
Yeah Yeah Yeah
Drinking in the Daytime
So Into You
This is Only a Problem
Brain Sugar
When She Comes
Why Can't You Be Normal All the time
Eager to Leave 'Er
Can't Drink You Pretty
I Wanna Be New

That's When I Reach For my Revolver
Sonic Shake
29x the Pain

They pulled it off pretty well live - but with musicians of the standard of Jon Poole and Jase Edwards that's exactly what I'd expect. It was a very enjoyable show!

There're a couple of tracks on Youtube: When She Comes and Can't Drink You Pretty, if you wanna check 'em out.

They're all pretty damn good musicians though, and it's the same four guys who played the majority of the album, so it shouldn't really come as much of a surprise that they managed it. :D
