I'm going. Me and a mate are travelling down from Cumbria. First time seeing ginger without the wildhearts.

I'll be there! Not sure about pre-gig drinking venues though. From memory, I think the last time Ginger was at Rios the meet up was at the Shearbridge, which I'm sure has closed down now. Anyone any suggestions?

I went to bradford a few week ago to see Discharge and we were drinking in a pub 5 minute walk away from Rios. Can't remember what its called now. I can remember there was loads of photos stuck up round the bar tho and the land lady said they keep the door open til 3am! We didn't bother going back after the gig it was a bit shite and I was well fucked.

Pre-gig beers

Postby Mr Ross » 5th Mar 06, 11:53

Hi all. First time poster here.

Try The Head which is on the way to Rios and opposite the uni. Just up the road on Claremont is Delius. The only non-chav pubs in that part of town. Tumblers is now Gaudis which mostly plays R'n'B  Shearbridge is long gone.

Market Tavern is a good pre-gig boozer but quite a hike to the venue.
See ya in there and mine's a Stella!! :P

That would be the Fighting Cock on Preston St.
Best pre-gig boozer near the venue.
Plenty of real ale and brilliant juke box.
Also good curry house just up the road (panaz grill house or something like that !)
