I'm also in the "I like it, but I dunno if I'll ever LOVE it" group. As mentioned before, there's a little too much instrumental jamming stuff on there for my liking. A few songs would've been OK, but it gets in the way of some of the tunes ( like "This Bed..." ) .

i fucking love it. as much as i love valor, yoni didnt take as many listens to get into

black windows is one of the best ginger songs ever written. smile in denile is amazingly beautiful - such lovely melodies, i get lost in it. nearly brings a tear to my eye. it could have been shortened a little tho. not sure about the red dwarf ending. very personal lyrics

this bed is on fire is fucking awesome. i love how ginger can take the most obvious chord changes and make them sound new and exciting. this one is the best song on the album. for now at least

jake is another great song. i was worried this one was gonna be a bit cringe worthy, but it isnt at all. again, some gorgeous melodies on it

the only song i dont "get" yet, is cant drink you pretty. i just cant get into it

Completely agree with you lemo.

Listening again to it in the car yesterday for about the 6th or 7th time it dawned on me what a fucking amazing album it actaully is.

Yes, its different, but in a really good way! Bring on the long OTT instrumentals. Can't drink you pretty is weird but it works! Some of his best work yet. Take the best from Valor, the best from Yoni and in my opinion you would have the best Ginger related album since SG5.

Kerrang once called Ginger 'Lenon with dreadlocks'. I think this album also shows he is also 'Mozart with dreadlocks'

yeah its a shame some people don`t get it! gingers done the straight forward rock albums so its good that he`s thrown some different styles in there. i love the jazz bit in "can`t drink you pretty " and the theme tunes thrown in in various songs are cool as well. i think the production on this album is also much improved "jake sounds massive"

I'm loving it. Got it on now with headphones at my desk.

I LOVE the harmonies on the chorus of Black Windows. I ADORE the dreamy pop of Holiday.

I love the sticky saliva you can imagine coating the mic on the verses of Smile.... Which is what is on now.

I only liked half the tracks from Valor and my first thought of Yoni was the same thing but without the standout tracks that were on Valor (Yeah Yeah Yeah, Drunken Lord, GTT, Bulb) but it's a totally different kettle of fish on the 2nd or 3rd listen. And I'm on my 10th by now at least!

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Yoni is a musical extravaganza the likes of which I havent heard before, and i love all the guitar solos and instrumental bits. Theres not a song I dont like, the only problem I seem to have is deciding which track to sing in my head whilst at work.

I also transgress into an ecstatic pop lathering of bubbly joy suds at the sheer prospect of listening to 'Holiday' again again.

Key changes at the end of the movie FTW etc.

Ive heard it a lot now and I think the "I like it but dont LOVE it" comment applies here :( It has some superb stuff on it, but a few too many different styles for my somewhat conservative tastes.

Can anyone else hear "Rush" in there ? When the band come in after the "give it to me give it to me" bit in "Wendy..." it sounds exactly like the begining of "The Big Money", and there are a few more "Rush" moments too.

No No No No No No No No No!! - although very good technically, it's horrible on the ear... fret w*nkery on a guitar is equally bad whether it's a "normal guitar" or a bass

someone knows if the bonus tracks on the japanese version are new recordings of the songs or just the "old" version present in "must be destroyed" (one love, one life, one girl) and "black leather mojo" (inside out) and....i dont know nothing about "A lil bit of gravy"....... ????????

thanks in advance and sorry for my shitty english! ;-)
