eMusic?

Does anyone know if any of Ginger's stuff (or the God Damn Whores) is likely to show up on emusic?
They have the Howlin Willie album, and the most recent Wildhearts stuff (which I had on CD already), but nothing else from Round records. The news item from December kinda hints that all the albums should be up there, but they aren't.

Living out in the US means I'll have to pay through the nose for the CD's on import - cause I sure aint paying the iTunes mafia !

You could try downloading Yoni from here:

That's where I got my copy from. You don't have to join, you can pay a one-off fee on your credit card to buy the album. I'm not sure if there'll be any problem accessing it from the States, but you can give it a try.

I'll probably get family or friends in the UK to send a copy. I'll only pay for downloads if they are drm-less and considerably cheaper than I would pay for a nice shiny CD with artwork. I'm old fasioned like that (and cheap).

That's why I like emusic, $4 for a 12 track album, high quality mp3's, and the artist still gets paid. But it forces you to find artists you might not have heard of...

Just for info, Yoni is DRM-less from TuneTribe - they provide it as 192kbps MP3's. Not sure if that's the case for everything on that site - think it may depend on the label the album is released through.

But I'm with you on having the CD...I personally like to have something I can look at while I'm listening to the contents. I'd already got Yoni pre-ordered but I got the download anyway as I wanted to hear it before the solo gigs!

eMusic is great though - I've had so much stuff from there that I wouldn't normally have found, and I'm still paying the US version substription fee, instead of the new, improved, more expensive UK one!
