Most moving thing about it I think is the fact that the album is dedicated to the memory of Trace

I didn't notice that on the Japanese version.

It's at the bottom of the credit page of the booklet and reads :-

"This album is dedicated to the spirit, determination, strength & inspiration of Trace. It's going to be harder without you here. I miss you. Tattyheid x"

A lovely thought.

Good to see the dedication was picked up on! Thought it had gone un noticed. I just posted on the other thread about it!

Trace was a fellow Boarder, Listee, unofficially official cloakroom attendant, rockin' Granny and all round top geordie bird who very sadly lost her battle with Cancer shortly before christmas last year. She was mates with Ginger and he dedicated new WH song Zen Requiem to her at the christmas gig in Wolverhampton.

I'd say more, but I'll simply point you here, and here (the sixth post down (TAZ) in the second thread is a perfect example of her humour in even the worst situation) for other people's superior words.

An excellent job has been made in getting a last minute change - the Japanese one was obviously printed a while back... I don't have it to hand (I'm not at home) but that edition is dedicated to her 'continuing courage and inspiration' or similar.

As well as the links above, there's this link which is to a fundraising page in her memory.

I'm not sure what too think yet on first listening, the ones that stand out so far are Black Windows, Jake, This Bed Is On Fire those are really good, but with the other's I think it's differently growers. Need to listen to it more really, but at the moment I think Valor was a better album, still could change though.

Brilliant album!
Some of Gingers best work yet :D
BTW just noticed that the credits mention Roy Wood with a * and a (*nt) in brackets?
Anyone shed some light on this...
Cheers!

I believe that it (sadly) means 'Not True'. Although his ghostly prescence is felt at the end of Can't Drink You Pretty ("Fuckin' hell, it's Roy Wood!!").

Given that the UK edition has updated the reference to Trace, it means that this sleeve was finished later... so how come between the Japanese one and the UK one, loads of lyrics have been screwed up in the booklet, and the dedication to "Wild Dan and Hannah" on the Japanese version (which is correct) has become "Will, Dan and Hannah" on the UK one? That's not the only mistake. Unless there's a track on there called "His Bed Is On Fire", for instance.

Oh well. At least the name's spelt correctly on the spine this time!

And the fact that the typist may well have been 'pished' when putting LUIS' name down!

But hey, it's a bloody fantastic album.
