Yeah I remember being pleasently suprised when ordering from them before, as Ean said faster than the UK hmv lol.

Payday and I shall be preordering from there aswell. :)

Well, you've had your answer now so don't really need me... but

I've always just searched for HMV Japan through on a standard google search and the important stuff has been in english automatically.

it's worth noting (maybe) that whenever I've bought a CD from HMV Japan in the past I've had the Barclays fraud department on the phone checking whether it is indeed me buying stuff! Not that there's anything up with the site, rest assured.

I ordered Chutzpah from Japan on friday, then on sat my debit card was frozen, and I had to ring barclays (30 mins to a paid number, bastards) to get it working again

This is a bit odd, anyone know a reason as to why banks would be doing this? It's only £25 so not like it's suspicious or anything.

For the people who have had their cards frozen, what did you say to the people you spoke to from the bank? And have they resolved it for you?

If anyone has anymore info about it do tell.

Cheers

With all this talk of frozen cards and the current qestion of the week on B3TA plus a conversation i had with Ean has made me think that the idea of prepay/top up credit card is the way to do this preorder.
They are treated just like any normal credit card but you can only spend what you put onto it therefore you can never go overdrwn or let a debt go out of control, so easy way to do it is get the card stick 26 quid on or enough to pay for the album with a few pence to spare and preorder it and if somehow it gets blocked or frozen youve only lost a couple of pence and dont have to go through the rigmarol of phoning banks.

Funny how the tat I buy for me mother on ebay never freezes my paypal or the current account paypal draws from, i'd have thought Hong Kong was a much more dodgy place to be buying on credit from than Japan!!

I think we'll probably find more instances of this happening now, so that the banks can claw back the money they're going to be denied when new codes of practice etc are made law in this country to avoid the bastards nearly bankrupting the country like they just nearly did.
Sniff cash and the bastards will want it.

Maybe we here should start our own (not for profit) WiLDHEARTS bank and use the notes that were included in the Lovebank ep as the currency

According to the latest issue of Screaming Tarts fanzine, Ginger says we will hear the tracks that aren't going on the album in a way that will "please some and annoy others". From the other bits he said, my money's on a series of singles.

The fanzine also has an interview with Eureka Machines' Chris Catalyst and two free CDs. Not bad for £1.50 + P&P... it's the current issue so I don't think it's fair that I scan the article.

Not necessarily, if it is a vinyl release there maybe a download coad to get the track on mp3 form also, a lot of artists are doing this now so you may be surprised.

I think you may have got the wrong idea because that quote is out of context. I get the impression from reading the rest of the interview that there will definitely be a CD of the album, but that the other songs which don't make the cut for the album will be used for something else. It's only hinted at in the interview (which I'm not going to scan in here, for reasons Damian stated earlier) but it seems they have something up their sleeves for the other tracks. Hmm, interesting!
