Cant remember Muse supporting them or Cecil doing a full tour but Cecil did play with them on 7th of April 1996 (It was easter sunday that year to) at the Radio One sound city show along with CIV and some little band called Feeder who where the opening act that day complete with orange boiler suits.

Can't forget Whatever on the 95 Phuq tour either, they where fucking great they where, all their stuff still gets a regular blast over ten years later.

I seem to remember Stretch supporting at least some gigs on the PHUQ tour October 1995 and Whatever doing a few gigs in April 1996 on the tour around the time Sick Of Drugs came out.

They did indeed, JD who posts on here every now and again is in a band with Nick Parsons who was Whatevers frontman and they're called Supercharger, well worth checking out.

See my earlier post. They definitely supported the Manics, whose fans were indifferent at best... hateful at worst... then again the Manics at that time were a one trick pony...

Yes. I believe CJ's brother was in that band...

THere was also the line up of Monsters of Rock in 94... Aerosmith, Extreme, Sepultura, Pantera, Therapy?, Pride & Glory, The Wildhearts, Terrorvision, Skin, Biohazard, Cry of Love, Headswim

And also Reading that same year... when this was the main stage line up... Red Hot Chili Peppers, Therapy?, Rollins Band, Senser, Afghan Whigs, The Wildhearts, Helmet, Jesus Lizard, Stabbing Westward, Cop Shoot Cop

The Almighty
Kerbdog
Send No Flowers
Antiproduct
Psycho A Go-Go
Amen
Darling
Young Heart Attack
The Glitterati
Sign
GU Medicine

haven't checked the thread properly, haven't time, I believe these are the bands I've seen with them that haven't been mentioned so far

Ah, that explains it, I wasn't paying too much attention to the supports that night - mainly because they weren't the WH.

Which is somewhat annoying seeing as I bought pretty much everything they ever released.

I'm still coming to terms with the fact that Ean is fallible.

Hold on, wasn't Brixton support Apes Pigs and Spacemen and 3 Colours Red? They have only played Brixton once right?

James Dean Bradfield was a big fan of The Wildhearts though wasn't he, I think I remember seeing an article where Andy Cairns was saying how JDB introduced him to the band.

Though I dig me some Love/Hate... this is what I was hoping not to see. At one of the other boards I post at, someone lumped the Wildhearts in with the washed up 80's hair metal scene and I was hoping to argue with a list of bands that would be devoid of stuff like that.

Well just cos the Wildhearts formed around that era and played with some of the bands doesn't automatically make them a similar band, I imagine they blew Love/Hate off the stage.

I say I imagine as I have no idea what Love/Hate sound like or whether they were any good. The Wildhearts have toured and played with so many different bands that it doesn't really have much reflection on the type of band they are, other than "rock".
