A new Ask Ginger? Yay! Thanks Kris (and thanks Ginger).

Bis? Now there's a blast from the past. I think I've still got Atom-powered Action kicking around on vinyl somewhere.

1. No more acoustic tours :?
2. 'The Wildhearts' had an intro track
3. What does "I hope to report that it has shown up as a b-side somewhere by now" mean?
4. Ginger dosent like Anthem (enough to play it live) :(

Interesting reading...
Interviewer - "So whats the secret of your longevity?"
Ginger - "Splitting up!"

"Bernard, its hot in the worm."

"School aint shit, I read it in a book"

i know for 100% sure that zen requiem is recorded as a studio track (ive heard it) it was meant to be on the inner city overture single with borederline as a b-side also

I would imagine it means that these questions were put to Ginger sometime before the cancellation of the last single, so:

[I'm writing this beforehand, so] I hope to report [in this answer] that [by the time these answers are published] it (Zeen Requiem) has shown up [as one of the B-sides to the (at that point) forthcoming single] by now.

Some amusingly belligerent responses there. Cheers Ginger!

From Ginger's Zeen Requiem comment I would suggest that that was intended as a B side for ICO.

Being that that is (aparantly) cancelled I would also suggst that Ginger penned his response that querstyion prior to the cancellation of said single.

At least we can be happy that it is recorded and it will at some point surface (I hope!).

Never have I seen a WH song so hyped!

(EDIT) oops - sorry Ean. You already suggested this, and with additional formatting and no typos. I salute you.

Gotta say there's loads of never-played songs I would like to hear over Anthem.

Jeez I forgot I'd ever asked that question, it's being so long. But thanks Ginger for answering it...not.

From the sounds of those answers, I can't see Ginger revisiting old material and polishing it up for realease, he doesn't sound the least bit keen on that and you can't really blame him. Some of those old rare tracks are good enough as they are eg "Just Stay" and others like the Snake demos should never be heard again.

Q. What is that intro music played on the recent UK tour to support 'The Wildhearts'? & if it's the Wildhearts, can you release it in any format?
VanRad
A It was the intended intro for the album, and as far as I can recall it has no title. Wanna give it one?

Not wanting to sound big headed here... but does that mean I get first dabs to give an untitled Wildhearts song a name?! How very fucking exciting! Any ideas?

Hello everyone

There were some negative posting when I informed ICO single release on this forum.

People at Round might see them and decided their cancellation.... :?:

So we've learned that we must not say any negative words for their releasing from now on.No more cancelled single releases on Wildhearts's history (In Lilly's Garden / Inner City Overture). We know how important for us to listen their B-sides on every singles.....doesn't matter about lead track if the album has already released.

Ironically these cancelled single tunes were both remixed for single release......
