Slaughtered Authors intro riff...

Postby Nexus Icon » 19th Jun 07, 17:25

...is it me, or it is the music off the original "Assault on Precinct 13" (as sampled by Bomb The Bass back in the day)

Just cant stop thinking that when ever it kicks in. f'ing brilliant song though, one of the best Ive heard in age, truely rocks my socks off...

Is that the Bomb the Bass track that samples the music from Xenon 2 (the 80s game..)?

Either way, I think the intro sounds a lot like that game's music.

I fucking loved that game when I was a kid!!! I had it on the Spectrum (everyone had a Speccy except for the show-offs who had a Commodore 64, but we all know the Speccy was cooler, right?) and I played it constantly. I loved the music as well but I can't remember anything about it except that stuff about Bomb the Bass doing summat with it.

Was that the game with the little spaceship thingy and those evil little ladybird fuckers or have I just been eating some bad fungus?

Yeah, the music from the game was the Bomb the Bass track "Megablast", which inspired the name of the game "Xenon II: The Megablast"

Are you talking about Xenon, the space shooter game? I played that when I was like 8-9 but I can still remember it. I loved that game and I can still remember the song from it too! Not sure if I was playing #1 or #2 though...

Aye, it's great music. I played it on the PC, though. (Didn't get a console until I got a Megadrive.)

When I was younger I always wanted to chew one of those rubbered keys. I never did though.

I did however put raisans & sultanas up my nose on a regular basis

Wow! What's going on here?

Wildhearts fans talking about Speccies, C64s and Bomb The Bass?

Best. Thread.Ever.Etc.

Wildhearts>C64>Bomb The Bass> Spectrum>Amstrad

Oh yeah, and everyone but everyone should hear 'Bug Powder Dust' by Bomb The Bass at least once. It's fantastic.
