i love OCD, its one of there best songs from the TWMBD era. but i cant stand Stormy in the North. i dont know why but I hate the sound of it.

out of the TWMBD era i love the following songs:
Nexus Icon
One Love One Life One Girl
All Up To Me
Get Your Groove On
Someone That Wont Let Me Go
Vanilla Radio
So Into You
Theres Only One Hell

Coupled With stuff:
OCD
Return to Zero
Looking For The One (first WH song I heard)
Better Than Cable
Putting It On
You Got To Go Through...
Hit It On The Head

so if WH play them at the newcastle gig im happy...plus lashings of the new stuff (i love the new album).

Love both of em meself... but Stormy is probs slightly ahead in my book. It has the classic singalong quality of the Earth Vs period for me.

As for the new album? Love it. Not one track I even think of skipping 8) :D

Lets hope they play one or two more at Newcastle, what with it being the 'home' gig an all that

re the whole new songs live thing, playing rooting is the equivalent of two maybe three other tracks coz it is so long and revolution is pretty long too. playing these and more new tracks runs the risk of boring the crowd/ losing the moment of the gig. the band obviously are aiming for a fast, high energy set this tour rather than the more mellow let the crowd pick the tune style of some other gigs. therefore i think the two new songs limit is ideal - remember not everyone in the crowd has had the chance to buy and fully absorb the new album. and those two new songs were both awesome at kokos. i think i'm rambling a bit but kokos was a brilliant gig and a great set list.
last week i went with the missus to see james and they played new stuff ( one song the singer had to read the lyrics off a piece of paper) and i felt they really lost the atmosphere of the gig for awhile.

(anyway when the wildhearts tour the next album they will probably play most of this one! be patient!)
why do i have to ignore you to get your attention?

I'm a little dissapointed in myself for not being able to resist reading the set list but either way I'm very excited - I'm off to Newcastle and Glasgow.

Generally, are we all happy with the tour so far?

Are all the gigs finishing around the same time (I believe ten past ten was the last quoted time)?

Cheers,

VP.

That's fair enough, really - I'm trying to plan my travelling times. Newcastle isn't a problem but the last train from Glasgow is 2300, bus is 0000 and I don't fancy paying for a taxi or leaving early...

One thing from Wolves, at end Ginger said "see you at Xmas" - wether thats as The Wildhearts or solo wasnt clear. Its not exactly a huge surprise, but even so its something to look forward to.

Bit of a wait for the next tour isn't it?? We're usually given two or three a year these days.
