Yeah pretty sure I noticed you then, I'd have been the skinny teen leaning against a wall near some doors with a Therapy? tshirt.

Hope so, its a decent setlist. Minus 29x The Pain shockingly. Im gonna upload the songs from the list to my MP3 player/phone so i can listen to it on my way to work and get all giddy.

Last night at Bristol was indeed a blinder. Despite the crowd not being as big as the band deserved (a worrying trend in Bristol) the 'Hearts put on an ace show and the crowd that had bothered to turn up showed their appreciation by sounding twice as large as they actually were.

The set was exactly the same as the previous night but no New Flesh which was strange. Was seriously hoping to hear both The Sweetest Song & Urge but hey ho, still an ace show by a constantly ace band.

Was (extremely) lucky enough to get backstage after the show and hang out with the band. After speaking with both the guys selling their merch and both Scott and Ginger i'm afraid to report that any UK festivals will probably not be attended by the band this year. Download looked like a possibility but then seemed to fall through, the band were keen on Reading and Leeds but said that due to the timing of the album release they may have missed the boat on that too. Gutted.

Rich and CJ were both very approachble and were happy to hear our critique on the new album (obviously said it was great!), oh, apart from She's All That. Rich was surprised it wasn't one of my faves cos his friends all seem to have a different least favourate. None of 'em had mentioned the one i liked least. I think that's a positive cos that way it's truly horses for courses and there's not one track that everyone collectively agrees is a stinker.

I asked Rich why they didn't play Urge (as had been hinted) and his response was that he would love to play it but the set list isn't solely down to him. Rich also stated that from Endless Nameless he would love to play Junkenstein as it's a belter live, i recommended Why You Lie. Rich agreed - woohoo!

Everyone obviously wanted a peice of Ginger and didn't want to appear pushy so bided my time then sent my girlfriend in first before gatecrashing their conversation. Our son is roughly the same age as Gingers (Jake) so he was happy to talk about family type stuff - sorry, bit boring, you guys don't wanna hear about that!

My brief conversation with Ginger basically consisted of the UK festival situation then wasting a stupid amount of time trying to get my camera phone to work. Bloody technology.

The biggest surprise of the night was new bassist Scott Sorry - the guy's not only a natural on the stage with the 'Hearts but was also the warmest most friendly chilled out bloke in the room aftershow. He had already given us some of his time earlier on at the door before we got backstage so was worried about invading his space too much. I started by apologising for bending his ear again by saying "Sorry Scott...", he immediately interupted me and with a big grin joked "No, it's Scott Sorry, not Sorry Scott". He then indulged me and my brother in a lengthly chat about anything from Casey Chaos breaking instruments to Guitar Hero on Xbox. He was a genuinely nice bloke who spoke of his longtime love of the Wildhearts before joining. When i asked what was it like to now be in the band he had liked for so long he said it was both daunting and humbling, humbled to be filling Danny's shoes and daunted to be following in John Pooles footsteps - Scott stated that Random John was technically the best bass player he had ever known! Scott was also very chuffed with the positive responses he'd had so far from the fans.

By this point we had overstayed out welcome and the guys were getting on their bus to carry on partying/chilling out etc. so we made our way home.

p.s Found out that their tour bus is indeed very plush - It was Snoop Doggs a couple of weeks ago! Or maybe some other HUGE amercian rap star.... can't fully recall - it was late, i was tidly... anyhoo, must dash!

I think that's me you are talking about...

Did enjoy Bristol last night, the band sounded tight and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Was suprised that Ginger referred to "Loveshit" as a crap song off of "Earth vs..".

When Ginger said they were going to do something off of their worst album, I too had thought we were going to hear something off of "Endless Nameless". Oh well, always next tour!

WOW WOW WOW WOW just got back from the cardiff gig and all I can say is WOW :D

Truly awesome night , THE WiLDHEARTS were incredible , this is by far the best ive seen them , it was perfect. Same set as the bristol gig , still only the 2 new songs , BUT it doesnt really matter what they play when there on as good as form as they were tonight. Scott Sorry is a legend , he seemed right at home with them , he was loving every minute of it. Ginger , Cj and Ritch all looked as if they had the time of there lives and it showed on the crowd aswell. A pretty packed night , right down the front for it , so couldnt really have a guess as to how many where there. A no barrier gig which was weirdly rather pleasent as I seemed to get more of a crush on barrier gigs. Highlights for me was the two new songs , TV Tan , Everlone , Sick Of Drugs and I Wanna Go. Nothing beats singing along to them songs at the top of your voice. Was brilliant.

Oh and this was pretty cool

Was amazing to meet Ginger tonight , Ive met him a couple of times before but tonight was the best time, he seemed really happy to talk and answer questions .I asked why so few songs of the new album for the tour and he said not many people like hearing the new stuff , I replyed and said I do and he had a little giggle and thanked me a few times for my compliments on the new album and Yoni.

Long Live THE WiLDHEARTS

Will post more pics tommorow as I am knackered now.

Cheers
Chris

dude sign are a great band with a shit singer... (imagine a cat being strangled while an out of tune violin is inserted up it's ass)

Good showman mind, reminded me of iggy pop/seb bach(they did a cover of youth gone wild)

Maybe he was having an off day but people were wincing when he went for the high notes..
