Basskniv3s (Feat Ex 3CR & Yo-Yo's)

Postby EvilElvis » 6th Jan 07, 00:31

I'm sure this may interest a few of you.

Basskniv3s feat Pete Vuckovic and Paul Grant (ex 3CR) as well as Rich Jones (The Loyalties, ex Yo-Yo's, Black Halos and Amen amongst others) have announced their first ever date on Sat 27th Jan @ Koko, Camden, London - as part of a Klub Kerrang show. The venue will double up as a club after the gig.

I don't know the reason for using the 3 instead of the letter e in the band name.

Is it just me, or do some of these guys not cast the net very wide when it comes to putting new bands together?

Ha ha ha! I often wonder if everyone in and associated with the Wildies are actually really horrible people, as they only ever seem to join bands with each other! Or maybe they are just so damn cool that they don't need anyone else??? :D

things do seem to get a bit incestous. could you imagine trying to do one of those "rock family tree" things - it would have lines crisscrossing all over the place.
is it not confusing for these guys all being in more than one band at a time?
why do i have to ignore you to get your attention?

I think some sort of "six degrees of Ginger" game is going to happen at some point.

Pick a band and try to get to Ginger in 6 moves or less.

hahahaha

I'm too lazy to try and think up the rules but I reckon

Band memebers with
Toured with
or guested on a record with should all count as moves.

Well, there's the band whose website I do (link at bottom). Start...

1) Tim Smith should be producing some of their new album.

Er... that was too easy wasn't it?

Ok,
So here's an easy one for starters.

Link Metallica back to Ginger in 6 or less moves.

I expect everyone to get it.

It is supposedly a lucky number in Serbia - where Pete went on a bit of a pilgrimmage, as he has family from that part of the world.

The Wildheart's soundman was Big Mick, who was also soundman for Metallica.

And going back the other way... Tom Take the Money (not about the same person I don't believe?).

or in a slightly more complex manner

1) metallica bassist is in supernova with tommy lee
2) tommy lee was in motley crue with nikki sixx
3) nikki sixx was in brides of destruction and so was ginger

this route also works for LA GUNS, Guns and roses, heart, and nancy sinatra ( gilby clarke produced her album) and probably dozens of others.

Ginger was in the Wildhearts with Danny Mccormack

Danny McCormack was once a member of the backing band of Misteeq - he was seen playing bass for the group on an episode of CD:UK

CD:UK used to be hosted by Ant and Dec, who are the main presenters of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here also features the presenter Kelly Osbourne, who is the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne fronted Black Sabbath - who, in 2006, were inducted in to the rock n roll hall of fame

....The Rock N Roll hall of fame also features Jimi Hendrix

Tah Dah!

Ooo, ooo, I think I know this one... The Wildhearts supported Motorhead, and I believe Lemmy did a stint as a roadie for Hendrix.

And just to get in the spirit of things, off the top of me head... Ginger to Ashton Kutcher, in three moves. Any takers (This one might be a wee bit easy)?

Now that I think of it, this one may not technically count... Oh well, I'll leave it up to those of you who get it to decide! :)
