It's erm, Metallica, but with everything transposed into a major key.

that is extremely funny. Shame about the singing though, I have to turn Unforgiven off, was unforgivable.
I feel all happy now. 'And nothing else matters, la la la' :)

Which reminds me, have you heard the Metal Abba tribute? I've heard there's a Metal BeeGees out there too.

Does anyone else get an air of Simon and Garfunkel about Nothing Else Matters in a major key?

haha genius. Adds to my theory that Metallica are really a country band in disguise (!)

do you mean 'Abbatior' ? (i think there are others)- thats such a good name that my mates actually came up with it in the pub once, and then wanted to do a joke band using the name 'coz they thought it was so funny. Then a few weeks later the real 'Abbatoir' turned up & played in Croydon. We got to see them @ an all-dayer a few years ago,. they're basicaly some metal guys with some nervous looking 'office girl' types doing the lead vocals., and were , of course, entertaining.

The best 'metal covers crossover' that my mates came up with in the pub ?

Simon And GWARfunkel.

Ace.
