I was quite pleased about the Skin reformation but not sure how they will go down. They were hardly the best known band when they were around the first time!

Skunk Anansie also reforming - now this HAS caught my interest!!!

Very happy about Skin reforming & Tesla being added - also will catch Clutch, was very impressed with them at Hard Rock Hell in December. Need Wilides (obviously) and Thunder to be added now, and I'll be very happy.

My eyebrows were raised at Journey being added - they hardly seem Download material. I even gave their greatest hits a listen to last night to see if I was missing something - I wasn't, it just passed me by.

Music should always incite a passion, either love it or loathe it - but if it just passes you by, what's the point of it?

I do have a concern thought about a potential scheduling clash - Faith No More have been confirmed for Friday's mainstage headliners, but Motley Crue's own website is showing them plaing Donington on the 12th - the Friday - https://tickets.motley.com/.

What do I do, aside from cut myself in half? I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

I would be very surprised if Thunder were added as they have said their upcoming dates are their final ever ones. But hey I have been proven wrong before!!

The potential clash does appear to be an issue. At the moment there aren't that many bands I would be overly interested in and the ones you mention Chris are 2 that I would be interested in!!!!

Oh and I personally though Clutch passed me by at HRH. Was extremely bored listening to them.

I understand what you're saying, but as DL is 12 to 14 June, and Hammersmith is 11th July, technically they could do it, and still stick to final gigs type thing.

Thunder at the old Monsters of Rock in 1990 is one of THE legendary Donington gigs - blew everyone away, including Aerosmith who were at the height of their powers at the time. C'mon they owe us crustys one for old times sake, ha ha

Just been on the Thuder website and they have recently put up a Q&A section and someone asked them about playing Download as part of their farewell. Here is the reply .......

"We have a tour on sale that takes place a matter of days after Download, so there is an obvious conflict between the two events. I agree it would be great if we could play there, and we would certainly enjoy it, as I'm sure would the audience, if only it was that simple."

Boo (hoo) :(

Have to settle for the tour itself then.

Bit worried about that though now, had tickets for original Shepherds Bush Empire venue, but then they upgraded to Hammy O, and have had to swap for new tickets - haven't had the new ones through yet.

I love Journey and can't wait to see them at Download. As for the Faith No More/Motley Crue clash, I was a bit concerned at that until I realised it was FAITH NO MORE I'd be missing. Catch younext time, Crue.

Read in Kerrang! today about another band playing that sent, as yet, unidentified ripples through me. Lawnmower Deth...

Lawnmower Deth at Download makes the extortionate ticket price I have paid a little easier to justify. I wonder if 'Fish Dancing' will break out or will it just be me rolling around like a tit?
This Motley/FNM clash does not please me at all. I guess if it comes down to it FNM will get the vote as Motley are supposed to be coming to Europe in November for some headline gigs. Why can't they clash with fucking Shitknot?

Ok, bit happier now, wasn't aware Crue were supposed to be touring in their own right later in the year.

I will be at FNM anyway, but still pissed at the clash, would have been better for Crue to play opposite Slipknot. Bet the Saturday alternative is shit too

Just ordered my ticket for this the other day.
The FNM/Crue thing is a bit annoying but as I've seen Motley Crue several times before but have never seen Faith No More before I guess I'll have to give Crue a miss this time.
It looks like the Saturday alternative to Slipknot is The Prodigy which sounds good to me.

Take a stroll over to the Download forum and have a read of all the kids pissing and moaning about Faith No More playing. Bless 'em!

Yeah I saw that, the funny thing is half of them have the likes of Korn and Limp Bizkit in ther signatures. They could at leat appreciate FNMs influence on the rock scene and what a pioneering band they were.
