They don't usually release the day tickets until nearer the event - it helps shift more weekend tickets that way. It was 2nd of May last year and they were 60 quid.

I'm coming out of 'Festival Retirement' for this years Download. Immense line-up so far and if The Wildhearts play, then that will be the cherry on top.
Take a stroll over to the Download forum and have a read of all the kids pissing and moaning about Faith No More playing. Bless 'em!

you have to pay for parking, and it's more if you pay on the day.

Yeah its 135 for the ticket on its own then you gotta pay 20 for a weekend camping pass and 10 for parking. If you dont pre order your parking pass its 20 on the day. As far as im aware you can't get a day camping pass im sure you can only get weekend camping.

Thought I might do one of the RIP packages, being old I like the idea of turning up to a pre-rigged tent and stuff. However, looking at the prices I now think fuck that, can't believe they sell as many packages as they apparently have in previous years. Looks like an average price across the choices of about £450!

I was looking at them too, but they're all far too expensive. Looks like it will be a day ticket again for me. Save my money for Leeds fest.

12 more acts have been added to the ever-growing bill:

Fresh off the back of his new album ‘Scream’, US rocker Chris Cornell will make his solo Download debut, although played with ex-band Audioslave in 2003. Returning for the second time will be Southern groove metallers Down, in what is to be their first UK show this year, following some incredible shows in 2008. US nu-metallers Papa Roach have also been added, coming back for their third Download Festival. Skin are reforming especially to play Download, back together after a 12-year hiatus, marking their second performance at Donington since playing Monsters of Rock in 1994. Classic rockers Journey, voted ‘5th best American rock band in history’ by USA Today will make their Download debut, joined by fellow Californians Tesla.

Also added to the bill are Italian rockers Lacuna Coil, Kentucky blues-men Black Stone Cherry, live favourites Clutch plus Architects, Karma To Burn and Parkway Drive.
