Yup you must have done although I dont remember any subjects where that info might have been of use, must have been on one of my numerous tangents that i seem to provide, 6 years sober, its ace, I'm the only person out of my lot who can go out on a saturday night on less than 15 quid, used to be less than a tenner but i moved.

Anyways I'm not weird just unique, although if anything weird happens round here everyone assumes I'm responsible for it.............bastards

me and the wife genuinely considered Loveshit as the "first dance"....but me Nan was due to come and with two days to go we bottled it! So we had the Manics cover of "Can't take my eyes off you" (b-side of Revol if I remember right). And it kept the younger members of the congregation on tentahooks all thru the day with the promise of a Manics song. Especially as my brother had claimed it was "The Intense Humming of Evil"!

So, first dance, and our credibility kept intact. Anyone admitting to Celine Dion?

being t total do you get irritated by idiot drunken fools who keep repeating themselves and talking bollocks, but are still a good laugh to be around (but maybe annoying if you're sober)

cus if you do perhaps we shouldn't bump into each other in london :D but then again you know davejnick so we should be just fine :?

Snap! We had that one too, worked well.
Wasn't allowed any wildhearts but they found their way into the speeches. Don't ask me how!

In less than 2 days it will be in process. Diane, meself, and a bald preist and 158 guests. About half the guests are drunks, so here is what I'm having hauled into the place I rented, along with some food and a band:

13 Cases Prosecco
12 Cases Cotes Du Rhone
12 Cases Sauvingion Blanc
10 Cases Summit Pale Ale
10 Cases Summit Bohemian Pilsner
10 Cases Heniken
10 Cases Amstel Light
1 Case Jack Daniels 1.0 Liter Bottles
1 Case Kettle One Vodka "
1 Case Stoli Citron Vodka "
1 Case Bombay Sapphire Gin "
1 Case Bicardi Rum "

I recon there should be some left over, but since I don't know what people will drink, I didn't want to run out of anything in particular!

I see you're having a band. I was going to suggest Electric Boys' "Bed Of Roses" for a pick song. Even if not, it's still worth a listen. :-)

Don't quite know how I managed it, but our 1st dance was Silver Ginger 5's version of 'To Love Somebody'. Me and the missus drew up long lists for the first dance and we never picked the same song!! I think I got my way cos she actually fancied the original Bee Gees version... and I said I've got a cracking version of that by Ginger!!

Have a great day, and my only advice is take 5 minutes later on in the day grab a hold of your new wife and have a look around the room to see who's there - and try and take it all in!

We went for Inside Out as our first dance. neither of us can do that sort of dancing, so at least we had something to listen to as we circled in red embarassment.

I got hitched on the 24th May this year. We went for Dr.Hook, years from now. God i hated the first dance, not the song just embarrassing. And the best man dropped "well we can all see Gemma and Ady are a couple of Wildhearts" into his speech which made me kinda cringe. But apart from that, all good.

Just one real peice of advice - don't worry about a thing and enjoy every minute.
