ACDC at wembley.

Went on friday with my two brothers in law plus assorted reprobates we picked up along the way.
after wrong trains, too much beer ( for me being a lightweight) and the disappointment of a thin lizzy no show we arrived at wembley in time to get charged extortionate prices for beer and pizza which was duly wolfed down whilst half watching the subways. they were meh, okay really - probably much better in front of their own crowd.

then the mighty dc came on and rocked the place. classic after classic with some new ones that sound a bit like the classics. inflatables, ticker tape, the longest guitar solo ever, cannons and bells and a hot sweaty crowd going apeshit. not bad for a bunch of old gits..
i got completely seperated from the people i came with, got pushed into the mosh near the front and stayed there with a big grinnfor the rest of it. the crowd was brilliant.
a great day out.
why do i have to ignore you to get your attention?

'DC at Wembley was nothing short of magnificent. I really hope that wasn't the last time we'll get to see them and the promoters of Download throw a great wad of cash at them to headline one of the nights (along with Rammstein).

It was terrific dude. The sound was top and Brian was still hitting the high notes 8) The stage show was excellent and the band were as good as you'd expect.

The Answer didn't get long enough, they're a great band in my opinion.

The Subways got the crowd going ok, but they don't really grab me so I went for a burger (£6  ) and a beer (£3.75 for a pint of fuckin Tennants   ).

I saw a few Wildhearts tee shirts but didn't manage to chat to anyone, so apologies to anyone from the board who was there.

All in all, a top but expensive night out.

Yeah hampden was well rocked by the DC. Great show!
I have seen em a good few times over the years and it was one of the best shows I have seen.
Last time was Milton Keynes Bowl and that was crap so it well made up for that.
The video screens are great at this type of show as you do not miss a thing.
The heat was well bad but beer healped take the thurst away.

I enjoyed what I can remember of the Milton Keynes show, but the turnout and atmospere wasn't great - stupid promoters putting the gig on a Friday!

Yes, they made the 02 show much better as we had seats up in the gods. The O2 show was bloody fantastic - there is no doubt AC/DC are still one of the very best live bands you can go and see!
