This popped in to my in box this afternoon:

GuilFest 10/11/12 2009!

GuilFest are delighted to announce that the legendary Brian Wilson and awesome Motörhead will be headlining GuilFest 2009!

What a coup! Brian Wilson, songwriter and original member of The Beach Boys, is quite simply one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century. Brian can be credited as having wrote or co-wrote some of the best known anthems in the history of pop including “Surfin USA,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “California Girls,” “I get around,” and “Good Vibrations” to name but a few! As if that wasn’t enough, the Beach Boys album “Pet Sounds” is widely credited as one of the most influential records ever released in western pop music, ranked number #1 in many critics’ lists of greatest albums of all time.

This promises to be an amazing family friendly summers evening – imagine the crowd at Stoke Park, young and old, singing along to The Beach Boys greatest hits that everyone knows and loves – we’re sure you won’t want to miss this!

Motörhead - the name alone stands on it's own, a band that lives according to their own rules. Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee - what you see is what you get! Lemmy's enthronement as an Icon of Rock happened a while ago and proves that Rock and Roll is alive and exhilarating. Friday night on the Main Stage is guaranteed to be a fun filled rock and roll experience!

There will be over 200 more fantastic acts announced over the coming weeks for what will definitely be an amazing line up.

Held in the idyllic grounds of Stoke Park, visitors to GuilFest (consistently voted as one of the UKs best family festivals) can expect a unique 3 days of cultural brilliance, featuring the best of live music, comedy, street theatre, our massive 150ft bar, cocktail bars, art and crafts, delicious food from around the world and a truly festive atmosphere.
