I don´t think it´s ever gonna dethrone Earth Vs. as that is
fuckin´ impossible. But it´s getting awfully close to PHUQ & EN.
Although I do think it annihilates TWMBD and the official FFL.
My 2 cents there...

NEED MORE LISTENS

would be my vote. You can never judge something that's been out for a few days against something that you've been listening to for more than a decade. Once I've had this one for a few months then maybe I'll decide.

Of course, you can always make a prediction and I predict that I'm going to end up liking this one more than anything that any of the individuals in Wildhearts have released over the past 10 years - so more than Endless Nameless or Stop Thinking of Uppers and Downers or VDC or BLM or Yoni ...A bit over the top? Only time will tell ;-)

NO.

Honestly don't see for a 2nd how you could rate this album above Earth vs. (or imo phuq/ffl either). Seriously...Earth vs is just about one of the best, most consistant, best riffs, best lyrics and catchiest heavy rock albums ever (only beaten by Back in black). This album really isn't up to those standards tho it is very good.

And shocksmile you think Endless is better than fishing for luckies? :S

Also although some of the lyrics on this album are great (new flesh and revolution spring to mind) it has a few pretty cheesy/average ones too (imo) like Rooting and Shes all that. Earth vs lyrics still stand the test of time, tv tan, greetings, miles away girl just sum up the time, the band and gingers mood etc better than some of the new lyrics. :)

So no, but it is close behind FFL and perhaps with time it will catch up, we'll see.

You actually make a really good case.

Right now this is my favourite Wildhearts album.

After the novelty has worn off we shall see where it settles in.

Phuq is my favourite album of all time. Earth vs is second and I reckon this new one has the potential to go third.

It's a real grower. It sounds better every time I listen to it.

As a matter of fact, I do. EN is a really important album for me. As is PHUQ. From an objective point of few, FFL might be stronger song-wise. But as an album EN just pushed the right buttons for me. WE`RE CHOKING DOWN FUEL JUST TO PISS ON THE FIRE!!!

:)

I thought i’d expand on my “No” by saying that after I listened to the album again I would put it under even EN as it’s really disappointing for me....still I have the Wildhearts back catalogue to keep me warm at night. :D
