Heh, made me laugh seeing as i've not posted anything on here for weeks except a couple of jokes on some thread the other day.

Nice to be remembered tho :)

Well I think it's a bit pants

OMG you are stupid, don't be so negative, just say you love it anyway!!!!1

Nice to see the ridiculous self-righteous, don't paste any anti-wildhearts ever attitude of some people doiesn't change. I remember why I stopped posting here. And there I was thinking a bit of healthy debate, genuine criticisms etc was a good thing.

For the record I said I hope it gets some airplay, also said i'd spread the word which I am doing. You do realise you can be a fan of the band without religously loving everything they ever do right michelle?

II'll try not to say anything as outrageously derogatory as "i'm not sure I like it much" again....

YES! Its finally bloody finished!
Seems like years since April but I think it turned out great and the black + white works really well (seen as I wasnt to shure about it when Ginger first told me)
If you where wondering, Im the kid gurning with black hair, glasses and a lip stud and also the only person on the set in a 'Hearts teeshirt! :D
Best day of my life bar none, the one on one interaction with the whole band was a once in a lifetime experiance......and Im still only seventeen
Its great to watch it back and remeber the 20+ times Ginger performed his solo guitar part and by the end it became a running joke of how much he could wink and "lovingly caress" his guitar to make a ten second one note solo 'seductive' :D Well, I suppose you had to be there really.......
Just some info that might be of interest - The boy with the moppy hair is infact Jake but also the little girl in the pink and black stripy dress playing the miniture drum kit and the much younger girl in the black and white stripy top are Riches kids. The older ones called Lyla but I really cant remember the name of the younger one. I do remember another kid of the bands there but they where too little to appear so it really was a Wildhearts family atmosphere! :D
Also Scott did stand on the drum kit for a few takes untill the "we are, we are" bit hit.
The finished DVD pomo was supposed to have been sent to me by now but not had anything yet.......
Also if Nick the Director ever reads this - Thanks again for making a dream of mine come true.
As you can tell Im still slightly extatic :D
Interviewer - "So whats the secret of your longevity?"
Ginger - "Splitting up!"

"Bernard, its hot in the worm."

"School aint shit, I read it in a book"

See, that's the exact reason I love it... And I love the other songs with a political bent to them.

I like the "politics" in Inner City Overture, but that's more subtle. Actually mentioning Iraq, Afghanistan and Bin Laden goes too far for me. It's sort of lazy protest-song-by-numbers stuff. I like the sentiment, but it's too "in yer face".

I suppose it's not really any different to "Greetings from Shitsville" in that GFS doesn't mess about being subtle, and just launches into "London's shite" (which it is) invective. But that's not limited to current events - London is and always has been a dump (yet I still love it...), wheras 10 years ago Afghanistan and Iraq were side issues, and in 10 years time they probably will be again.

I absolutely share that sentiment. The lyrics might list somewhat relevant factoids, but still don't have anything poignant to say. Also, I always cringe at the "some Bin Laden mf" bit. Which is a shame since I really like the song musically. Sweet, sweet harmonies (okay, verse is nicked from Billy Joel and the chorus always reminds me of the Buggles 'Radio Star', but I try to overlook that).

I hope it gets played on the upcoming tour (has to be, really), and I do hope it'll be huge of course, but the lyrics in the verse are none I think I'll ever mouth along to.

Does anyone know if the plan is to actually release the video on DVD like with the Stormy in the North single? Although am I right in thinking that Stormy had the making of bit but then didn't have the actual video on it?

Yeah you would be right to say that - always felt a little bit dissapointed that they didn't have the heart to put the video AND a making of on the disc giving that we were paying the best part of a fiver for it...

I might be wrong, but I think there was a limit to what you could put onto a single before the Charts stopped considering it to be a single. And it did chart impressively high. Favourite bit from the Making Of is when the sound guy's ear-drums get done in when the sound kicks in for the outside shoot.
