What a great song! Always loved it when the Wildhearts did "slow burners" (not that there's many - Jonesing For Jones & Tom Take The Money perhaps) and this one sounds amazing! Really radio-friendly, wouldn't be out of place on Radio 1. The production is ace too, everything sounds crystal clear (especially the vox)

And how much does Scott sound like Dave Grohl in the verses??

Heh, I like that. Actually just been having an online bash on Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii and chucking pokeballs all over the shop.

The world needs more Nintendo/Wildhearts hybrids. Two of the best brands ever, imo. :)

Now that i've realised it was available on Amazon and i don't need to bother with I Tunes i've downloaded it.

Just goes to show you that you can't really form an opinion from a 30 second clip properly.I can still imagine it being in an episode of Buffy though.I'm not overly keen on the chorus but i love the verses.(in fact i just realised they remind me of Green Day)

I'm a lot happier with the way the album might be going now i've heard this though as i went from thinking i didn't like this to humming it in the space of 2 listens.

I'll have to stick it on my MP3 player for the Acid walking to work test now.

Yeah, I feel kinda the same, the melody and chord changes in the verse are great...the chorus is I dunno........less great. (although frustratingly it's the chorus that's stuck in my head right now)

Using the amazon MP3 downloader it automatically adds it to your itunes library and even opens itunes up for you afterwards! Not much different experience in terms of usability than downloading it direct through itunes. :D

And I have to say, not used Amazon for a download before and it was roughly 1 million per cent quicker than iTunes. Paid for the single, installed the amazon downloader and downloaded the tune straight into my iTunes quicker than just using iTunes store has ever been. I normally set it off buying something, wander off for anything from 10 minutes to an hour (longest was around 4 hours for a double album of 30 tracks) but Amazon had it on in seconds. Made my day! :D
Oh, and I love the single, would be a real summer soundtrack if we had a summer to speak of... 8)

I got back from Sonisphere yeaterday, internet access was playing up, so went to sleep for far too long, turn on my properly functioning computer today to find The Wildhearts have a new website, single, and a Kerrang award! I should go away for a few days more often.

I love the single. The self titled album is one of my favourite Wildhearts albums and the production of recent work has never been a problem to me, but just listening to this through my shitty computer monitor you can tell how much bigger this sounds and how this enhances their sound.

I can understand why Ginger has been so excited about the prospect of this being a hit, which makes me confused as to why its suddenly been released as download only without any pre-warning, but then I know nothing of marketing in the download dominant age. Hopefully it will make it easier to sell to youngsters hearing about them for the first time from their Kerrang award...I wonder if they had advance warning they would win?

It was coming out anyway, but I think it was brought up a bit to coincide with the award. That's why the site came live this weekend too.

I'd imagine the band knew, because the management certainly did (Virpi mentioned it to me a couple of weeks ago ;)).

Funnily enough, next time I go away is for Reading, so I should come home to Chutzpah! waiting for me. And after that I have an ill timed holiday that prevents me attending the September tour aside from the London date. The bad news is I have nothing else planned. If people on here want to club together to send me off somewhere in the interests of promoting Wildhearts excitement, I won't say no. Perhaps it could prompt the next single, complete with b-sides?
