someone sells them on ebay quite regulary, so its probably better to wait a little bit as they come on quite often.

I got one off ebay, I use it at work, unfortunately, it doesn't work properly with the optical HP mouse that I have at work (then again just about every mousemat falls foul of these crap mice we have).
