Amazing gig, amazing crowd, amazing band!

Hey there!

Here's a quick review of yesterdays gig:
They played a great setlist loaded with all the hits (took a picture of that - they added "29 times the pain" as the first encore before the concluding "i wanna go") and seemed quite happy to me. Crowd was about a hundred people, maybe 130, and the front row was singing everything along (except for "the jackson whites"). Ginger had lots of fun, made great announcements and seemed quite surprised so many german fuckers know all of the lyrics... He claimed that this was the first german headlining show ever.

Scott was a bit hungover as he didn't sleep the night before due to heavy partying at the kerrang awards. Had a nice chat with him and CJ after the show (CJ told me about quite extensive touring plans in the near future including a full german headlining tour next spring after stints in scandinavia and south america if I remember it right), met Ginger briefly before they went off way to early to Berlin to do some press.

Check some pictures on my myspace page.

Cheers,
Axel

Ooohhh, it was fuckin' awesome!

Especially to see a) the band really upclose with no pushing and shoving from other people (just sheer enjoyment - kinda like they were playing in your living room. Really! I kid you not!) and b) to see and meet fellow German WH freaks (yup, we are not that many - most people go "Wild-who? Neverheardofthem...").

Too bad about the Berlin show. Fuck-cherry!

Sounds familiar.

Well, leave it to me to kill the thread... got to reply to myself then.

Just got a mail by an old friend that I hadn't heard of in quite a while who went to see Buckcherry in Cologne. He was disappointed at their cancellation but absolutely LOVED the support that played a full set instead and got to talk to the lead singer afterwards for quite a while. He ordered several CDs from the UK the very next day. He also sent me a pic of him and Ginger and jokingly asked whether I knew the band... well ha ha.

The point is, I've been going on and on about them to just about everybody (of course including him, a massive Crüe and Kiss fan) for years with marginal results, and one gig turns it all around for some. Just goes to show that they should be gigging way more over here (and attendance should be mandatory for rock fans)!
