Have you been to Kentish Town Forum?

Postby Chris Norway » 6th Dec 08, 21:38

I´ve been to very cool Wildhearts gigs at Astoria, Koko, Hammersmith etc. The sound and view was very good. The time to get the beers and have a pee was short. No problem moving from the balcony to the front of stage. In all very impressed with how they arrange shows in London.

I´m travelling from Norway and splash out lots of cash for my Wildhearts trips, and now I´m really "nervous" for how the Kentish Town Forum show will be.

Can anyone here tell me how the place is. The view, the sound, and so on?

Thanks
Chris

The last time I was at the Forum was about three maybe four years ago and from what I can recall the sound wasn't to bad and the door staff where just your average doorstaff and as long as you didnt piss about to much then they left you alone, however I've not been since it changed hands so I couldnt tell you about it now, although I cant imagine the sound has changed
Did you just say "Pig Flute"?

Apparently I've been there twice, but I'm buggered if I can remember the place. This is usually a good thing, as it means I was having a good time and not annoyed about some aspect of the place.

'Course, it could just be that I got steaming drunk and forgot...? Image

I saw The Wildhearts at The Forum twice and you don't need to worry it's a good venue (sound, getting beer served and peeing speaking  ) the two pubs nearby I went to are good as well. I wish I could be there for my third time
 enjoy the gig

Some of my favourite Wildhearts gigs were at the Forum. Great venue, don't worry!

Yes, it's quite a decent venue - I've been to plenty of great shows there and never had any real complaints. :D

it seems good if your standing, i had the misfortune to go to a hearts' gig with seating only and it was at the forum, it was ok, but not the best experience.... good venue though...

Despite my lack of affection for the staff and management policies of teh Forum, it is a great place for gigs. and i've never seen a bad one there. I've seen the Wildhearts there three times (iirc) and they slayed every single time.
