This will be our first Wildies gig and also our (or 'my' at least) first time in Nottingham...we'll be travelling by car so just wondered if anyone knew of any decent parking near the venue? Also is anyone meeting for a pre gig drink?

What time is the gig likely to finish?

There's a car park right opposite the venue which as far as I remember is pay on foot, open all night (it's the crowne plaza one)

It's a club night so my best guess would be band till about 11, but it does vary I think - there are a few nottingham residents on here more clued up about that tho!

Being a saturday night, Rock City seem to be starting gigs earlier now, so I'd make sure you get down there in plenty of time. Think it's so they can set up the club night in plenty of time for the non-gig punters coming in. I've been to saturday gigs recently that have finished about 10pm...Wolfmother finished about 9.30pm!! Could be worth ringing the venue on the night though to get a better idea of times.

The Crown Plaza car park is open all night as far as I know (opposite side of the street to Rock City). The car park on the same side of the stree (sort of behind Rock City) closes at 1am, so make sure you know which one you're in if you plan on staying late!

Try and get or print a map of the city centre and the roads around it, cos if you've never driven there before, there's a fair to good chance you'll get lost, and it's all one way streets and a thorough pain in the arse to get round :)

I'm on me own as me bird isn't into the Wildhearts (I know, why do I bother?), so if you want to meet for a drink the 'It's a scream' pub or whatever its called suits me - about 2 mins away from Rock City. Anyone else up for a meetup?
