Tokyo Suits Me

Postby robdy2k » 30th Mar 07, 15:55

Hey

I just bought the special edition Tokyo Suits Me from ebay from some guy in Japan for £32.50... pretty much the most I've ever spent on a CD. Anyone know if that's the going rate for this release?

Also, does anyone know much about the time it was recorded, was it before the cancelled Endless Nameless tour and why didn't they play any of that stuff (or did they and it just didn't make it onto the release).

Is this the best Wildies live CD or is the newer Wildhearts Strikes back superior? I haven't got that either and am thinking about ordering the special edition from HMV Japan. Also just ordered the new album from there. YAY! Payday...!

Cheers

Tokyo Suits Me is excellent , much better than both the live albums scince.

I think it was recorded after the cancelled endless nameless, umm on the bonus disc anthem is on it, think that was the only song on it from the endless era.

The going rate differs , i bought mine over a year ago of ebay for about £25 , that was buy it now option. Ive seen them go for less and more.

Lately ive been checking ebay.com more rather that co.uk cause it comes up with searches from abroad and you can usually get stuff from japan for alot cheaper.

But hey dont think that you've had a bad deal or anything , its worth it cause it is a quality cd.
A few weeks ago I paid nearly £30 for the naievty play promo cd and the next week there was one that went for £20.

Just gotta get lucky I suppose , ebay is so addictive when ya got money :)

I reckon tokyo suits me is the best WH live album by a million miles. the sound quality and the energy is superb on them.

got mine when it came out so no idea what the going rate is...is the 'special edition' the one with the acoustic gig second cd? i think that was recorded around about 98? another great cd. i was a stoodent when i bought that, cost me a fair whack of my student loan but it was just soooo worth it!!!!

I got mine for £24.99 when it came out. It is a bit steep for one album but when I listened to it all thoughts of 'rip-off' left my head. Anything in life is only worth the price you're willing to pay for it. If you dig the album, as I and many others do, then the expense can be considered worth it, I feel.

I got a copy off Ebay for the princely sum of £10.92. It was posted from Japan and got here a few days later.

It's a good CD, but I only bought it for the 2nd CD and more specifacally the cover of Jitled John.

i paid £35 for BLACK LEATHER MOJO on import from hmv way before it was officially released in the uk and it was well worth the money (doggin` is one of my all time fave ginge/wildhearts songs)

To answer the question, yes, TSM is the premier live WH album. The bonus disc is well worth listening to as well. It blows away THSB and it's better than AA only due to the latter's lack of diversity and sound quality.
