The All-Singing All-dancing Acoustibollox Review Thread

I'm not very good at reviews so this will be short-

Not acoustic, not a full blown band but somewhere in between and it rocked like F**K!!!

Setlist was very varied with tunes from Market Harbour, Yoni, VDC, a few wildies classics, some b-sides and an SG5 number thrown in for good mix and also possibly the best live version of To Love Somebody I have ever heard.

Ginger was also on top comedic form, so expect a lot of banter and f**king about. I was really impressed by the density of the sound they managed to produced given there was no drummer (except the floor) and no bass. Three guitars - two electric one acoustic electric.

Wish there had been a bit more singing and clapping (I expect this from a glasgow crowd) but the gig rocked like the proverbial.......

Enjoy the rest of the tour everybody

It was rather brilliant. This was the first gig I've got my girlfriend along to and she loved it, So I'm trying to remember all the songs that were played to burn a lovely cd, any help? I doubt I've got all the songs considering he was on for nearly and hour and a half.

Soap Hammer blending into Ninns of mourning
awareness and the great integrity
drunken lord of everything
bang
only love
this is only a problem
to love somebody
loveshit
tenants
when she comes
geordie in wonderland
inside out
29x the pain

help me out! Especially if you can 'mind the order as well I think I have that in sort of the right order though.

It was great fun. Slightly blurry recall on a lot of it.

I was propping up the bar with a drunken pal and my sober brother. I think we may have been having a little too much of a mini-party at times, so sorry if we were getting a little giggly and chatty if you were standing near us. We were just having a nice time, though.

just back from sheffield and it was......
well a ginger gig.

first off, it was almost full, which is always good.
lots of familiar faces, as well as some utter cunts who thought it better to have their own conversation throughout the gig rather than watch ginger.
support acts were really enjoyable.
ginger came on and looked in a foul mood, by i think he was concentrating on getting ninns of mourning right.
lots of banter with some classic ginger quotes.

I'm uploading some pix and vid which i'll link to later.

off to bed.

Sheffield last night was a lot of fun, I'm really looking forward to Mancester tonight.
Lots of sing-alongs, lots of crowd pleasers, a cover version and some old b-sides and i quite liked the floor stomping although it didn't work as well when we tried it cos we were stood on concrete. boo.
What was with all those santas though? do Corp never clear up after their parties?
Oh and it's acoustic my arse... it may be just them, guitars and the floor but them's electric guitars. Arr. :P

Sheffield was mint! Ginger seemed on good form and in a reasonable mood.
Highlight for me was 'Drunken Lord Of Everything'
I really thought something special was gonna happen at the end when Hanoi Rocks turned up! It was like a rock star convention with Ginger,Tyla and the Hanoi lads all stood in the corner!

Just wondering if there's any merch going at the shows and how many pennies I should think about taking with me?
