Market Harbour promotion

Postby Ben Wright » 2nd Jan 08, 22:11

How about a bit of DIY style promotion for Ginger's new album?

I've knocked up a shot of the album cover, if people wanna use that.

To put the image copy and paste this code, but put at the end and it should look like.

Failing that try

<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p62/bennyhiroshima/?action=view&current=mh1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p62/bennyhiroshima/mh1.jpg" border="0" alt="Ginger - Market Harbour"></a>

It can work as a profile icon on your myspaces or facebook etcs and be plonked on internet message boards

ALSO
People living in South Wales can also text their requests in to the new rock radio station Xfm South Wales ( http://www.xfmsouthwales.co.uk ), which has a request show on in the afternoons during weekdays.

The text number is 87936.

ive posted it as a bulletin on myspace, with the following preamble...

"i'm not usually one for shameless promotion of anything, but i'll make an exception here, as this guy is frustratingly underrated, and this album is blatantly going to be a whole metric fuckload of amazingness. buy it or i'll tie you to the central barrier on the M1, with a gimp mask tied onto your face. seriously."

i wish i could say this would secure a number one spot, but i don't have that many friends...
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!

Ive managed to post a few bulletens and blogs on my Myspace only got 1056 friends though, but i think we should all do what we can, we should all try and promote this album as best we can, the more people know about it the more chance that they'll buy it!

How about those of us with myspaces using that pic for our profiles for awhile? Alot of us did that when the new wildhearts album came out.

Sounds like a good idea Michelle.
I made a bulletin for the Market Harbour CD, hopefully people will pick up on it.
Don't use See Tickets. They'll rip you off!

I agree we should all do what we can to promote this album. Ive already sent a couple of bulletins and blogs on my myspace thingy (feel free to check it out peeps!) and i am planning on emailing calling various radio stations / presenters. Even considering taking out an add or two in some national / local news papers and magazines (all depending upon costs)
