Legends review

Fuck me where do I start?

The most blinding nite-simple as that. What a fuckin show, how did they get so many musicians on one stage I'll never know.

"how did they get so many musicians on one stage I'll never know".

A great gig spoit by the venue.

Acoustically Legends lacked something and those ridiculous pillars made a mockery of the poor bastards who were hiding behind them.

That said, it was a great gig with a great atmosphere.

But, here is the worrying thing, why did Ginger say that the gig almost didn,t happen.
What the fuck was that all about? I'm a little worried.

And it was good to meet a few people.

BTW I was stood at the back with the black shirt with Pennsylvania Psycho Ward in yellow on it. Got a bit of a hang over this morning.

oooooohhhh my fucking head hurts, who decided to put the clocks forward last nite???

The nite got off to a cracking start when I bumped into Conny Bloom coming down the stairs. We got no Tim Smith and no DJ Ginger but the guys seemed to be on stage forever.

The PA guy said he was called in at the last minute so that might have something to do with the show nearly not happening.

Good to meet you again Stu, did the fotos turn out? Mrs Col had a cracking time, I introduced her to Random just to round the nite off. We've gotta try and get to Download, although i can't see how they could better last nite.

Totally agree. What an excellent band. Ginger really looked like he was enjoying himself. Excellent night. He is absolute fucking class.

Real pity about the stage pillars and the invisible musicians, but that is one class band.

I was chatting with a mate in one of the guitar shops in town in the afternoon, and one of the fellas that worked there mentioned they were having some PA issues or something, so thats probably what the problem was. Awesome night tho, roll on Donington!

Was anybody at Steel Wheels when Ginger and TSC did a 3 song set? Excellent stuff that got filmed too. As did gig at Legends. Songs played at Steel Wheels were Yea Yea Yea, This Is Only A Problem and Mother City.

I was there, got my CD sleeve signed by Ginger. Would've got the whole band (and Sammy) to as well, but it was a bit busy and I needed food so I naffed off. They did my three absolute favourite songs off the album as well!

Apparently the venue had no monitors or something...anyway I'm bloody glad it *did* go ahead 'cos Jason's surprise birthday present (being kidnapped from London by me and Taz and taken to the gig, he found out 10 minutes before we got on the train at Kings Cross) would have been a bit of a washout otherwise! :o)

Hello to everyone I met for the first time (or the gazillionth time!) and especially to Trace, love you loads!

I agree that acoustically the venue was pretty pants, but it didn't stop the gig from rocking like a big rocking thing. Marvellous stuff (though I must admit the skewer thing just went completely over my head. Why???)

Well, bloody hell!!!!, what can I say???
Great gig, you wouldn't believe it, but my head is STILL hurting now

Random and the girls gave me two great photos, those and more are in cyberspace to the site very soon.

Met Kitty K and she's every bit as gorgeous as the pics I've seen of her

Got the two posters advertising the gig that were up at the bottom of the stairs!!!, naughty, sorry, had to have one once i'd seen it, then lo and behold, my mate comes up with the other for me 20 minutes later.

Got the t shirt too (£10) which some greedy b*stard sold on ebay the other week for £31 !!!
Wise UP.....Wise Out

Well I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else on this one.
What a f***ing awesome show.
I can honestly say I haven't seen Ginger and any of his bands play so tight.
You'd think they had been playing together for years.

The venue was ok, I didn't think the sound was too bad, but if it had been the Wildhearts playing at full throttle then maybe it would have seemed worse.
Jo and I had a great view (Apart from Pillars!!) We stood at the back next to the dance floor, with it bein raised up we got a perfect view of the stage and 1/2 the band.

Was good to meet SteveP in Trillians, although we did miss the acoustic at Steel wheels (Sob).

[Jo says:] This was the first Ginger gig I've ever been to, and I tell ya, it definately won't be the last!
I was a bit worried at first, not really being a rock chick as it were, but the people we met before the concert made me feel so welcome (BIG shout out to the photographer dude & Co that we met in the queue outside Legends!!!), I can't wait for the next one!

Found out that I love Ginger &TSC more live than any other band I've heard, and hats off to them: they were amazing!
One more thing (please don't beat me up), near to the end of the second set, I looked up at Random to find him looking in my direction, complete with peace sign. I thought 'maybe it's someone else', but waved anyway. And he waved back!!!!!!!!!!! And winked! That just made it even better, if possible, and made Aiden a bit jealous! It just doesn't get any better than this!
Thanks so much for making it such a great night!! x
