Brighton - TOMORROW !!!

Postby phildee33 » 16th Jan 07, 17:24

Anyone off to the least advertised Ginger gig i can remember !!

I have my tix and can't wait, it's a tiny venue right by the seafront, and it's also the venue's 2nd birthday so should be a good night !!

My first Ginger solo gig, lets hope it matches many memorable Astoria nights from years ago !

Any idea which pub you'll be in before the gig?

Yay. I'm going tonight! Only reason I knew about it was because on an e-mail from the mean fiddler it mentioned that he was playing Brighton. It then took quite some searching to find out where he was playing!

We're probably going to be in the Duke of Norfolk before going along if anyone fancies meeting some random Ginger fans beforehand. (This pub is handy as it about 200 metres from my house and 200 metres from the venue and also plays decent music (sometimes))

I'm coming down on a spur of the moment train mission from London as I can't wait til tomorrow. Hopefully will catch most of it before last train home. Will swing by pub you suggest when I get to Brighton in some sort of wildhearts shirt as would be nice to meet a few of you folk

Yoni songs were (I think) Black Windows, The Night I was Born Again, When She Comes and Why Can't You Be Normal All The Time. If anyones knows different, please correct me.
They sounded really good live (although the sound was a bit off). The atmosphere was good and there was a mix of Wildhearts, SG5 and Ginger solo stuff played so the set was great.
Ginger was late due to car troubles and I think that led to Robochrist not having time to play.
God Damn Whores were pretty good, it was the first time I've seen them and some of their songs are definitley catchy.
Ginger was in a good mood and looked pretty happy.
I'm very deaf and tired today :)
